Anyone have any news? I've checked their socials and the last update was three weeks ago. They looked miles away from completion then and I can't imagine the weather recently has helped them. |

We've heard a rumour this morning that due to a number of problems, they may not re-open at all.

You're right! It is "no big deal". But as club members and people who invest time and money into this club, we do have a right to be updated on progress and if/when the club will reopen. I don't think it's too much to ask as it's obviously important to a lot of people. |

I think it’s a bit extreme saying you have a right to know what’s happening!
Just remember that those who run the club also have lives outside of the club, jobs etc. the weather has also been shocking!

As adults can we not just ignore the rumours and allow as much time is needed? Yes it's frustrating for a lot of us however making assumptions, believing rumours or behaving as though anyone is entitled to answers isn't particularly kind to those working their asses off for us all to be back as soon as possible |

They would love to share progress photos in here but it will get them banned. The rain hasn’t been helping with the progress and they can’t give people a date when they don’t have one. |

I imagine for all those involved in running the club its a difficult time; as I imagine most have full time jobs in the real world.
If the closure was due to fire regs, then the team are stuck in a cycle of planning the work (getting surveys done to put in the doors), checking if planning permission is needed and if so getting it), then completing the work and then trying to get the club inspected to see if it meets fire regs.
Councils work slowly and often move goalposts from a previous visit. I also imagine the work is quite expensive, and its not top hats amd cigars for club owners.
Jaydees is a great club and I used to visit once a year (when in the area) and met amd made lots of new friends in the social area

But as a business any business you do have a duty to your customers if you plan on keeping them that is! If you own a newsagents and your opening times are 6am you can’t just have a lay in till 9 for instance you have a duty to your customers to be open for them!
Now if you shut a business that people want to use you have a duty to keep them updated and if not gonna reopen have the commen courtesy to thank them for there custom and let them know they need to find alternative arrangements for the future!
I heard they had problems with a new roof and few other bits which have taken longer than planned but I can’t confirm that! I still I’ve in hope that it will reopen sooner than later |

Chatting with the Jaydees team at PDI a couple of weeks back we understand the refurb has had various complications and became much more involved. New Year was mentioned but I sort of doubt that.
At no point did I sense that it might not be reopening.
My birthday is mid February I'm going to hold out some hope to eat cake at Jaydees. Until then we'll be elsewhere - simples! |

You have seen the update saying they can’t give you a date, what more do you need ? It’s not like they can post it on Facebook is it ? They have gave updates when they can on their time frame seeing as it’s their business |

Posts have been deleted pics removed, people have had status linked to it and had there accounts banned. Comparing it to a newsagents is ridiculous as not like they can post on Facebook tag everyone as people like discretion. They can’t e mail the members for the same reasons. They are very aware people want to come back to the club as much as they want to have people back but it is what it is. |

If posts break rules they will be deleted. If pics break rules they do get removed. A status with a link to a club on it won't get a person banned unless the club is not allowed on the site of course.

This is not a status update, this is just the headline on Jaydees club profile. It has been there for a long time.
I'm sure we all want to be back there soon but they will open when they can. |

Can't wait for them to open again, but can only imagine the hoops they are having to jump through to get there. Sure they are doing all in their power to meet requirements and open again. |

We visited Jaydees most Saturdays and really miss it, they are working hard to reopen asap. We braved VA on Friday for the bi night and it was really good. The Black Cat works put us off going to Jaydees a little as it got really tricky to get back South so VA is a lot easier for the minute. |

I did explore some of the clubs with raving reviews, further up North, when on holidays with my partner. And that only made me miss Jaydees more, as both clubs were a huge disappointment. However, I can thoroughly recommend TattooedTalent events at Penthouse Playrooms in Dunstable- next one last Friday of November. |

We went to the Playgrounds Decadence party in Clacton last month and have booked in for the next two including the NYE Masquerade Party!

When the Attic in Derby was closed for renovations, we attended Jaydees, great club, we were made to feel very welcome, I know everyone at the Attic would make you all feel very welcome too. Hope to see you soon. Xx |

I feel sorry for Jaydee's, I know what we had to go through (and are still going through) to rebuild the Attic.
Yes it's frustrating not being given any info about reopening but we had messages after messages ofthe same questions but we were unable to give an update as we had no idea due to awaiting building control inspections (who don't work very quick and have multiple sites to inspect).
I'm sure they will give an update when they have one. |

Looks like jaydees unfortunately won't be open this side of Xmas, as they've just mentioned that in there Facebook group page. Which is a real shame as love there new years event |

Such a shame, last year's party was brilliant with Dave and Karen if you are reading this, and their friends, all of us piled in a room in a 10 in a bed orgy. The room went from ten degrees to 30 degrees as things hotted up. |

Obviously ran into a few problems and will have to work with building control. This will be why they can't give updates or s reopening date. |

There's a lot more to it than that I suspect! Building Control will generally give some guidance on how to get over problems. They would have had their plans submitted before they started work. As long as they were approved they can't have gone that far wrong so I should think there is a lot more to it. |

Their insta is very much not down as I have just accessed it. Can we try not to read into things too much, please? Yes, I would like them open asap (even though I'm not planning on going there until the initial "wave" has died down a little, not a fan of massive crowds) but they are dealing with something that, I guess, was not planned. I'm sure they will open as soon as they can. |

We were just making a comment we thought might be of interest, not looking for a conspiracy. Apologies if it caused offence. Like yourself we wouldn’t turn up until it dies down again as we are the same and wouldn’t cope with huge crowds.

It's a public forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion, so nobody can stop you from commenting (apart from forum Mods if they believe the comments are breaking the Fab rules).
I think the confusion could be coming from the fact that, I think, there seems to be 2 different Insta accounts for Jaydees. No idea why. |

We were at chams couple weeks ago the general consensus from people who seem to know was it isn't reopening due to planning and regulation issues in particular to do with car parking and other building changes.

Last time we went was a week before they was closing and chatting with Matt he was telling me about one of the other companies that was renting space was storing creosote and it was not in a Bund and had leaked into the ground so that will be an environmental issue and that's probably what's taking time to make sure the environmental agency are happy with the ph levels before giving the go l ahead to reopen |

Cross-contamination can be a big thing and we heard similar about the amount of things stored and how they were stored.
There was a scaffolding company that had a yard there and they magically disappeared earlier in the year too.
It all could be connected up somehow. All the old vehicles stored in the open will rust from the effects of rain and repeated freeze/thaw cycles and they could start to leak all sorts too.
That's one thing we did notice. There was lots more space round the back for additional parking.
In the end, we all hope they reopen sooner rather than later. |

They said they were going to keep us posted regarding the work and when it would reopen, but there's no recent information update at all. So sad if they don't open again and they keep us waiting and looking 😪 |

I think it's wrong to say that we don't have the right to know when we were promised they would keep us posted. It's a business world. We're are their customers and we deserve to know wherever they are permanently closed or not. It's called customer service and satisfaction. |

Think positive people, they said recently that they will open in 2025.
They obviously don't know themselves when it's going to be.
We have heard several different rumours about what the hold ups are. They are all slightly different, but all based on officialdom making them jump through hoops, which they were clearly unaware or unprepared for. They are probably keeping quiet in case it prejudices their ongoing position! |

The parking issue seems to be true, going by the post on SpicyMinx page, who hosted bi nights at Jaydees. She's having a private bi party, on the grounds of Jaydees, and she does mention very limited parking. |

To be fair there wouldn't have been rumours if they'd not gone radio silent.
Shut very suddenly, then almost total silence,website not updated etc... Just communicate effectively and it will avoid the speculation.
Anyway, great news that they will reopen in 2025. Looking forward to going back!

Jaydees is the friendliest club we've ever been to. Mat and Nat are the nicest and most respectful people you could wish to meet. The staff go out of their way to speak to everyone, and we mean everyone, making sure they aren't sat on their own, as you say you are shy. Great club, great staff. The scene is missing a great club, haste ye back Jaydees people are missing you |

Yes your right it's a private group. Won't be found in any searches you need to know someone whose allready a member of the group who sends you a invite and then admin approve it. That's how we joined. |

Going upstairs was easy, even after several drinks, it was coming down that proved tricky following several Vodka & Absinthe (Mrs' favourite "tipple"), the perfect justification for staying upstairs fucking

Going upstairs was easy, even after several drinks, it was coming down that proved tricky following several Vodka & Absinthe (Mrs' favourite "tipple"), the perfect justification for staying upstairs fucking that’s what makes it for us nice and easy to park Moho for night and easy to get to! Eurekas was great for hag yo but club just went so quiet shame
