Overnight stay at VA - on site or Premier Inn?

I'm planning on going to the bi night at VA in a couple of months and want to stay the night. I'm wondering whether it's best to stay in the club's hotel (convenient) or to book a Premier Inn nearby and get the shuttle bus (nicer room)? Any tips would be appreciated

Some of the rooms have recently been refurbished at VA and they are beautiful. It’s an ongoing project

Having done both I would stay at the CA. You can use your room for some private action

I’m not too sure but if you call the club they will tell you. I think there are about 6 completed so far x

Hasn’t the Premier Inn that was close by been bulldozed over as they rebuild the Black Cat round about? Not sure that one is an option any more.

It's the premier inn at Wyboston that people stay at I believe...I think that was a travelogue...having stayed there once, I dont think it will be missed...miss the little chef though, we used to gather there with friends for a debrief the next morning!

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like staying at the club is a better option if I can get a room.

I think the club run a shuttle from the premier inn if you can't book a room there

Hi. I stayed in room 11 at VA a few weeks ago and that room had been refurbished that day. A very comfortable space and as a previous poster said it's very convenient (less distance to totter in heels!) with the bonus of potential after club hours fun

and is far enough from the A1 to allow us insomniacs to get some shut eye.

Aha, that’s right. It was a travel lodge. Totally agree with your assessment about it. Stayed there once. Pretty gross. Stayed at VA, much better and MUCH more convenient.
