I think I’m gonna suggest to my wife that we try our first club . But we are Hertfordshire/ London based, could people recommend a club / night that would suite first timers with no pressure ?

Pick one with no pre-chat groups and where people haven't met you and don't recall your profile text. It'll be no fun for her if people she meets know her husband has told the internet she's a boring fuck. (Unless that's her kink ofc).

That's a bit cruel but very honest! Lol.
OP, you have a few choices not that far from you:
1) Vanilla Alternative near Sandy - open-play only club, with no private lockable rooms but with a couples only room. May not suit newbies.
2) Penthouse Playrooms in Dunstable - quite a big club, a mix of private lockable rooms and open play rooms.
3) AbFabs/Kestrels near Heathrow - AbFab is the weekend evenings parties, Kestrels is a spa-based club where people walk around wearing towels or lingerie (on their lingerie day).
4) Jaydees near St Neots, when they reopen after refurbishment.
The first 3 are licensed clubs, the last one is bring your own booze.
Check their websites for events, fees etc. |

We would recommend The Vanilla Alternative.
Yes, there aren't any lockable rooms but you would never feel under pressure to play.
Go on a Saturday night when it is couples only.
Just sit in the bar and people watch and when you feel comfortable go and watch in the play rooms.
If you get approached, chatting is not an invitation to play so don't feel obliged.
Ask questions of people if you feel brave enough to talk to these strange people that like to have sex with others.
Feel free to play, just the two of you. If someone approaches you and you are happy for them to join in, just say so.
If you aren't, a simple but polite no is enough and they will leave you alone.
If for any reason they don't, or you feel uncomfortable, speak to the staff and they will deal with it.
We are quite shy and timid despite the number of years we have been playing and have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in a club.
We have had to turn people down but that has always been respected. |
