On my way to France in early October. Thinking of stopping nearish to the tunnel the (Thursday) night before. How is Silverleigh as a place to stop, I fancy a bit of late night nakedness on the way down? Are Thursdays any good?

Depends what you’re looking for from a hotel. If you want top quality bedding, phone by your bed, work station with wifi, room service and air con then it’s not the place for you. But if you want to have a chilled time naked and potentially have some fun you’ll enjoy it.

The rooms are utter shit and very expensive. Tired, dated, worn and barely clean. However if you accept that then it's a good place to go, get naked, socialise and have a place to sleep. The Mecure hotel Brands Hatch is a 2 minute drive if you prefer a significantly more civilised place to stay and they won't have an owner who goes fucking mental if you have a visitor to your room after hours.

The rooms are like being in a 1970s bed & breakfast in Blackpool.

I’m staying there Bank Holiday weekend and whilst I agree the rooms are basic I’m not going to sit in my room all day and night…. I’m going there to socialise and chill with no expectations of anything else and have always had a fabulous time x

Thanks. I suspect they haven’t changed much in that time in Blackpool either

There isn't a hotel in this country where the owner would scream at you if you had a visitor in your room. That is not the case with Silverleigh. Despite the fact that it is a hotel and should follow most hotel policies, visitors are not allowed otherwise you'll get a very angry lady shouting at you And then making somebody pay more money for whatever reason she can think of.

We're regulars and find this hard to understand. Nothing like this has ever happened to us.
