Just to clarify, I assume you will be going as part of a 'couple' ?
Seems odd that a single fella is promoting a night he would by default be unable to attend and that's the only explanation I can think of.

So to clarify , is it free entry for couples when one half is under 40 , and others can still attend but have to pay ?
What do you think the mix will be on the night ?
Single guys , older couples and young couples . |

I am involved with the Lodge. The person that was hosting before isn't very well to carry on. The night will be hosted by myself and couple11. The night will be rebranded for the month of May with lots of great stuff going to happen!
It's free for couples and usual rates for singles. Couples over 40 can come as long as one is under 40. Any questions please send me a mail and thank you go the interest |

I think selected single guys can attend , but they will have to be approved and will have to pay as normal . |

That really does depend on what the primary objective of the age 'cut off' is. If it's to make those that simply don't want to play with people that might be old enough to be their parents, such as those early twenties for example then fair enough. However, as you point out, if only one of the party has to be under 40 then that won't work since a 39 year old woman could attend with a 65 year old sugar daddy as a for instance.
If the purpose of the age limit is to try an ensure a high calibre of guests on the basis of looks, intelligence and social skills then that similarly will be doomed since all the previous are not necessarily associated per-se with the 'younger' swinger. We have seen some quite frankly atrocious looking younger swingers that would be better suited to an appearance on Jeremy Kyle, a tattoo exhibition, weight watchers or all three combined. We have also seen a lack of 'life experience' and emotional maturity lead to a drink fuelled domestics requiring police attendance at the club. Age in itself is a simplistic quality assurance tool - depending on the aims. |

At The Lodge, we are very much Customer led. If people are showing an interest in a certain type of event, we will give it some time and space to try it!The Hosts of the event (who are under 40, as we are not!) are trying to offer an event for the younger market as there is a plethora of them, coming onto the scene. Just trying to offer something different! So far, we have not had any wildly differing ages in couples. There are pro's and con's for any event that is done and someone will always find fault but never the less we go with the positives and attempt to make the swing scene a better and enjoyable multi faceted lifestyle  xx |

You can book online or pay on the door but it is £5 less if you pay online x |

Being somewhat older than my wife , 51 and she us 32 , I guess I am one who may be a disappointment to some ?
Oh well , I can live with that , and to be honest as we generally play with folk her age nights like this are great !
So those who like to criticise and judge - fire away , in the meantime we will continue to have fun !!!

I can appreciate where you're coming from, a lot of the events aimed at the younger crowd are meant to bring in the "attractive crowd"-i really feel uncomfortable with that.
That is not what we're trying to do.
So many younger couples are now getting into the lifestyle that an Under 40's night is not meant to exclude those over 40, just to make those under 40 more comfortable.
I think we should see this as a positive and really support younger couples who want to swing with their own age groups if it helps to support those clubs that we all love to attend |
