Hi everyone.

Just looking for a bit of advice please.

My partner and I are looking/hoping to go to our first club. We are heading over to Manchester for the Peter Kay tour and we were hoping to dip our toes in the club scene for the first time. I have to be honest and say I’m definitely more anxious about it than she is, so I was wondering if anyone had any clubs that you would recommend for nervous newcomers.

We would prefer a casual friendly place, maybe not too hardcore or fetish themed. Somewhere chilled and relaxed that we could get chatting to other couples.

Thanks

Cupids is dress down on arrival so I would avoid that for a first club visit.

Thanks sally

Yes that could go one of two ways lol.

But most probably panic and leg it. I’m still a little self conscious, and embarrassed by some of the better endowed guys

If you do go to adam and eves this weekend there are events on both fri and sat night. Photo id is needed for both of you so bear that in mind. Its a great club and will be an amazing atmosphere as party nights

"Cupids is dress down on arrival so I would avoid that for a first club visit. "

Valuable information this is, we didn't know this and our first and only ever club visit was ruined. The lady behind the counter said there is another club close by that's not dressed down but we lost heart to visit there. Partner was dressed really sexy in low cut short dress but was still asked to dress down.

So yes I'd advise against Cupid's for first timer

We've avoided A&E for this very rule on principle. We've never had to do this in the past and as we only wish to visit as Guests and not members then don't see the need for this invasion of privacy, especially at a swingers club. You don't need it to go to Church for Christ's sake!

Which rule ??? Dress down ??. You dont have to be members at ane just show photo id. If thats the rule then its part of her adult entertainment licence rules as its a private members club. And most clubs are now following suit. Plus it stops the idiots and troublemakers getting in

We love Cupids .... ok you do have to dress down, but I'm sure we all wear similar levels when round a pool on holiday.

It's a great club, friendly atmosphere and people too.

Don't be worried about ppl being 'well endowed' - firstly most will have on boxers or towels (for men) until maybe later when ppl can get more fruity in the bar area.

Most (maybe all) swingers clubs you have to show ID now. It's part of licensing regs.

I'm sure you'll have a great night wherever you choose

Agreed most clubs check id. Don't see the problem. People don't seem to realise how much data is collected on them every day all day without their permission!

So you’re not keen on the dress down rule, I can’t imagine a club working without one. I have been to A&E and cupids many times in the past and they were both dress down/dress to impress.

I think it would be fine in the lounge area but once you start getting into the play areas the last thing you want is people wondering round in tracky bottoms and work boots.

One thing is for sure - if you don’t try you will never know…. I know both adams and cupids - both well run and kind to newcomers…. You are together and can share the experience - nothing to lose

There is a difference between dress down on arrival and dress down to enter the playrooms.

I guess so, a lot of it would depend on the layout of the club. You don’t really want the two groups mixing so it would need a casual outside clothes space separate from the main club. I always assumed the dress down when entering policy was to stop sightseers. Otherwise people can just wonder in pay some money and potentially see boobies

I think dress down gives the night a vibe fit for a swingers event. But it does depend on the club and if they can seperate the play areas and the bar. Tho most clubs I know are dressed down after a certain time anyways.

We had the most unsexy experience at a club that wasn't dressed down.... imagine the fumbling and awkwardness of getting jeans and boots off. It's not for us!

We did show them photo ID but refused when they wanted to record the details on their computer. We didn't want to become members.

.

Thats the only time details go on the computer when you become a member.. you dont have to become a member but you will find most clubs are doing id for non members as its part of their licence agreement if they dont they can get closed down. Plus it stops a miriad of idiots and wankers getting into a club andbeing a nuisance

Hi All

Hope you don't mind me jumping on the back of this, I want to go to my first club, but ill be alone, is that allowed? Or do I need to take a woman (not that they ever reply to messages ????)

You might get single men that have had too much to drink fitting that description but I don't think you're going to get couples that are going to be a nuisance and if they are do you think them having provided you with ID is going to stop them? Like any management at say a nighclub would, you just ask them to leave.

You'll be fine going alone .... so long as it's not a couples and single female event lol
