Stourbridge

Hi, we are looking at a few days away in the Bristol area next week, any recommendations on hotels and restaurants ?

We prefer country house but not adverse to city centre, in other words we can't make our minds up so personal recommendations would be fab!

Mark and Debra.

If you fancy country house ,you should stay at castle Combe manor house , great little pubs , maybe a little far out from Bristol but superb place to stay !!

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

If you stay in the city centre, get the early evening menu at Brasserie Blanc. £15 for three yummy courses.

As for clubs, there's only the Office in Bristol and I have heard its a bit blah. You might be better going to Bath Swingers Club or the Lodge at Gloucester.

Try The Brookes Hotel, its quite a pleasant hotel, very reasonable and close to the city center

Hotel du vin, is my favourite - Thornbury castle is also nice - the Marriott Royal perhaps ..but it's pretty ordinary IMO - outside of town you have Cadbury house - very nice little hotel in a little village on the way to Cleavdon

Good luck!

More to look at, thank you, we always prefer a personal view as there are so many fake reviews online!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

The Macdonald hotel in Bath is very nice.
