We, along with a few others were given a torrent of abuse yesterday afternoon for parking in a residential street adjacent to the club.
The guy abusing me and later some others is a resident of the street but at the time was actually sat in his BMW, parked on double yellow lines on a blind corner and was complaining that club goers were creating a dangerous situation with their inconsiderate parking!
Has anyone else encountered this absolute bell end? |

Sorry to hear that. We’ve never encountered a problem, but we tend to park a few streets away because we always thought this might be an issue at some point.
Astonishing that people go out of their way to park dangerously just to grandstand about other people going about their business. I can’t stand people like that - hope it didn’t spoil your day x |

Sorry to learn that there was a problem yesterday. The last few times I have been there I have been lucky enough to get in the car park, which isn't always easy when you have a long one!
Nearly always before I have parked in the road opposite but it can be difficult. Parking has always been Silverleigh's Achilles heel.
I have friends living in that close and whilst they personally are ok about Silverleigh, a lot of the neighbours are very anti, either out of, territorialism, righteous indignation or parking issues or a combination.
There is no easy answer and escalating thins is not a good idea. However, if the BMW man happened to be parked there the wrong way round with headlights blazing I would have had an urge to politely top up his scant knowledge of the highway code.
Finally, it was great to see so many old friends there this week. I wondered where everyone was going instead of along the road! |

I’ve never been known for my diplomacy skills unfortunately but I restrained myself to some extent.
If the parking Karen accosts some of the travelling community visitors one day in a similar fashion he will receive a proper education.
Nice to see you and looking so well?? |

I parked once on the pavement like every other car in the street. The owner of Silverleigh came to the hot tub and waved a photo of my car at everyone and publicly upbraided me for irresponsible parking. So I'm... now very careful not to do that. |
