So, it seems some people want to besmirch _he attic and those behind _he attic.
We hear and see the rumours from various "random" people and accounts. Yes there is an ongoing matter to be resolved to allow us to open. No we are not lying in this matter. Yes we want it resolved as soon as possible but we don't have a timeframe yet. This is why the official response has been and remains "no date set, and we don't know when one will be set". Especially as the situation is so fluid.
Only a handful of people know the whole story and those involved are doing all they can to ensure _he attic opens as soon as possible. So if you on your tractor or dogging round the Midlands and you want to spout rumour and hearsay about things you've heard 3rd-8th hand try taking the official answers and responses as the truth. It's sad it has come to this but unfortunately nobody has the right to spoil it for those who truly care. |

On a serious note though, you’ll always get shit stirrers but the vast majority know how much time and effort you guys are putting in to making a better and bolder Attic. Do not let the stirrers, bullshitters or haters grind you down.
We have no doubt that you’ll overcome any hurdles put in front of you.

Thanks for the update guys, 8it's a real shame that the planned opening schedule didn't happen. Like many others, we are excited to see what the new venue has to offer.
I do wonder if more "facts" from yourselves about the nature of the problems that you're facing would serve to quell the rumour mill, and maybe even illicit some expert help in getting a resolution?

It's the nature of the beast, when people don't know they'll make assumptions as to what's going on. You can update accordingly with taking shots and hold the higher ground, as what people say isn't personal it's just their own theories. We've been coming to _he attic for over 10 years, seen many many staff and I believe the current crop really do care. You describe it as fluid so imagine its regulation or paperwork (here I am theorising) and the opening could come at a weeks notice. |

It has been said before the club has an architect, is working with building control, fire authority, local council, landlord and various others (throughout the build),and at times their time frames do not match the clubs. These bodies are experts and to stop various amateur experts and such the, club has chosen not to disclose the issue(s) it faces. But ultimately even with no date set as yet _he attic will return. |

thanks for the update.somethings you cannot control and you are obviously doing everything possible to resolve any issues.you ran a very good club for years at previous location and im sure local authorities know you run a safe and successful business.like any new build business you can't open till everything is officially signed off and it can be frustrating,but when you finally open all your loyal customers will make it sonething special.fingers crossed for you and hopefully i will be enjoying the new club with everyone else soon. |

We are still waiting for red tape to be cleared and with it being Xmas people were unreachable.
We don't have any solid information at this moment but will give you an update as soon as we know anything solid.
We don't want to just pluck a date out incase it doesn't materialise and will open as soon as we are able to.

... well we could say turn the lights on but that won't help the situation. It's sometimes difficult to give a weekly update on what exactly is happening because genuinely sometimes nothing seems to move forward. I could quite easily talk about the backward steps that occur, of which there seem to be many, but what good would that lead to? The aims remain the same, to get a adult club open again as quickly as possible. A task which is way more difficult than it was when the venue opened previously. Local authorities are continuing to help us move forward to reach the goals that are ever closer. The club is being set up to be there for many years to come and as already mentioned a date maybe on our minds but this will stay in our heads until it can be guaranteed. Obviously all concerned especially the owner would love to be open tomorrow but rules and regulations have to be adhered to, rather than open and then have to close. The club has received some amazing support from clients and other clubs and we are all so grateful. This will happen... soon. Regards, xx |

For clarity , a Club is a business who advertise as a swinging club. Everyone will know the address.
A social location / dogging site or somewhere a lot of people will meet /use is not allowed on the forum.
If someone asks for exact locations or in this case the name of a Hotel and people answer with a Hotel that is not a chain then people will know the exact location just by the name of it, then it is best to send it in mail rather than on the forum as asked by the forum rules

Can I clarify again. EXACT locations is not allowed on the forum as per the forum rules. The rules are not exhaustive as they would be huge if Admin mentioned everything the rule applied to in detail so they hope you will all use common sense
Saying you use a certain chain of Hotels is fine but giving the exact location of that hotel is not.
I am not sure why the angst for this, it is common sense if you think about it and I only reminded people to save people being banned.
If you don't like this rule that's OK but you are spoiling a thread about the Attic, if you want Admin to change the guidance to Mods you should ask them to from the contact link.

The only concern I have is I hope Ron doesn't decide to up the prices once the new club opens to try to make up for the fact he must be losing a hell of a lot of money the longer it goes without it opening |
