Toying with the idea of a club but feeling quite nervous, can anyone recommend clubs in and around Gloucestershire that would be a good place to start for a couple feeling a little shy?

No need to be nervous, maybe visit VA when we are there on 12/13 Jan, we love to meet newbies. You two look like a lot fun!

+1 for VA. It’s a great club.

Depending what you are looking for, Friday night includes single men and Saturday excludes them.

Book a hotel and make a weekend of it. There is a hotel on site which is very nice and serves the purpose of a club visit or there are some lovely hotels on the area if you want to explore

"Where is the V and A club please?"

V & A is a museum in London

The VA (Vanilla Alternative) is just outside Bedford

Although historically speaking there are some similarities

Peterborough and Bedford

Even though VA (closer to Sandy actually than Bedford, and not far from Black Cat Roundabout on A1) is a good club, it may not necessarily be suitable for people who are new to swingers clubs. As they don't offer private lockable room, it's open play or couples room. There is one area with a curtain that you can close if you want some privacy but the closed curtain is not always respected.

Also, you are probably nearer to Birmingham, with their Xstasia and Chameleons, than Bedfordshire.

As far as I'm aware, there are no swingers clubs in Gloucestershire.

Try Utopia in Devon. Straight down the M5, our regular club and super friendly for newbies.

No one knows where Sandy is And only Radio 2 listeners will have heard of Black Cat r/bout

Good points on play. The whole club is open play. We prefer that, primarily as you pointed out the closed curtain is not always respected.

We’ve played with just the 2 of us in the open areas and never had an issue with boundaries being broached by others.

OP I guess that’s an important thing to consider when looking for a club. Do you want open or closed play. And of course geography/ travel time etc.

Let us know how you get on and where you choose

Thanks so much for the suggestions

We arent really sure what we want yet figure it will be come apparent along the way. Think we would like the option of privacy though. Heard good things about Chams up in Birmingham (not too far for us)

Just wondering how the different clubs differ, seems there's quite a bit of variation

VA is on our list for early next year. Haven’t been yet but heard good things. Chic events are also held there I think?

We were quite nervous about going to a club but took the plunge and went to jaydees on Halloween (apparently the busiest night of the year). We were made to feel so welcome by staff and guests alike. We've now been twice and felt very comfortable both times.

It's quite a long trek from you but worth it if you're able to stay there or in a hotel not far away.

Another vote for Jaydees, we’ve only been there so can’t comment on anywhere else. Have been made to feel so welcomed, they also run newbie nights. Have a look at the club reviews go all the clubs and it might give you a feel for the clubs you’re thinking of trying?

We plan to visit different ones next year so will be looking for newbie nights too! Lol x
