This post is confusing- the title says "first time club", yet your post is about 1st time house party? Which one is it, as the advice would be different.
If it's a club- check their website for dress code or contact the club to ask.
If it's house party- contact the organisers and check. |

It is still best to check with the organisers as people can understand "casual" differently. If it was me going with my partner, he would, most likely, wear some chinos or similar, and probably one of his thousand Hawaiian shirts (lol), as they can be a good conversation starter. But I guess a nice T-shirt would be sufficient, too, and shoes other than trainers. Underwear- some good quality boxer shorts usually look good. |

I've been to a couple of house party's and to start with everyone just sat around in their normal clothes chatting and having a couple of drinks, as people warmed up we played some naughty games to break the ice and then the clothes started to come off.
Normally the men just wore tidy jeans and a smartish t-shirt. Wear your best underwear (not your comfy ones with holes in )
They way the night plays out is up to the organisers I suppose so might be best to speak to them. Explain it's your first time I'm sure they'll be happy to advise you.
