Hi, we are planning on going to Chams, Darlaston soon. Just wondered when the best time to go is? It's our first visit to a club ever, Is it best to go when it's couples night? Or doesn't it matter?

Thanks E and J

Hi,

We have both recently made our first visits to Chams (m/f couple with the f looking to play with another f, m happy to watch), we have found that on a Friday (couples and single guys) you have to be a bit more aware of who is around you (mrs doesn't like to be groped uninvited), that said, some of the single guys who have approached us have been very polite and pleasant.

On a Saturday (couples only after 7.30pm ) we find we can relax more and the club seems a bit more easy going, it is easier to have a wander around and look about without the feeling that you are being followed.

We do enjoy both nights though, for different reasons.

The club itself and the staff are fantastic!

Have fun!

We went for 3 nights back in July, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Like has been said club and staff are great Friday and Sunday nights, again like someone said beware of the few disrespectful single guys. Saturday night much more relaxed and a great night. Mrs F does look for single guys in a club but Chams is one club we probably wouldn't go back to on Fridays. Maybe a Saturday though. Our opinion is the club needs to police these single guys who seem to think they have a free hand. This is something that comes up in the forum over and over again. Shame the few spoils it for the many

And yet we have never had this problem on a Friday.

We just simply say no thank you and move on.

It doesn't matter which club you go to there will always be a few that spoil it

Chams is a great club, we like to go on Saturdays nights as we don’t it more relaxed, that said if your looking for single guys fridays would be better, personally we have never had an issue on a Friday and no has always meant no just be firm but friendly.

Other option if you either of you have a bi side Monday Eves are great.

All the other clubs we go to a no thankyou is always enough. Chams however has a few that won't take no for an answer. At one point after 3 times saying no while in the throws of play, he spoilt the vibe. This is the very reason we had never tried Chams in previous years as we'd read this time and time again so it was no surprise to us at all it was happening. We had more issues over the Friday and Sunday night with a few single guys than we've had over years at other clubs. We always say try a club for yourself, we have tried quite a few. Some we'll visit again and some we won't. Preference is what it's all about for people

I used to go regularly on a Friday , know a number of the regular single guys , never seen anything inappropriate from single guys (tho going as a couple it's amazing how some guys in couples really are very forward)

All the regular guys know the rules and respect them , and indeed if a guy steps out of line the other guys might have a word with him.

Sure guys walk about , and if a couple go for a walk round it might attract some guys to walk round as well ..if you play in open areas people will watch but not touch with out asking etc

And on a sat when it's loads of couples looking at each other ..on a Friday it's generally more sociable and lively ...I know loads of couples that dont play with single guys that go on a Friday for that reason ...

I think it depends a lot on the vibe you're comfortable in.

If you're looking for men maybe avoid Saturdays, no single guys after 7pm. They seem very couples action oriented and a bit cliquey/sort of lots of small groups who know each other/arranged to meet. The other nights just feel a bit more open and inviting socially and dare I say less posing and more down to earth (I may not have articulated that well but I think so will know what I mean). There's just a different crowd on a Saturday, tents to be a bit of a younger crowd. It's not a bad thing at all and Saturdays are good to, just slightly different from other nights. Saturdays obviously tend to be busy.

Friday nights also tend to by busy with a high number of single guys. They tend to be a bit full on. So if you're looking for a busy party vibe like a Saturday but with single guys and a bit more down to earth there's always Fridays. Friday's are great fun but can be a bit too full on a busy for us depending what mood we're in.

Sundays are going well these days numbers wise. It's probably one of our favourite days. There's a fair few in but it's a very chilled, relaxed and freindly atmosphere. It's perfect if you want to go try the club in a more relaxed mode.

Mondays bi night (aka bi guy night, because every night is bi woman night). A very popular night perfect for bi guys/bi guy couples to comfortably and openly engage with males and know that most males there will be open to that.

Wednesday/Thursday again chilled like a Sunday but can be a bit more hit and miss with the numbers. We've had some of our best times mid week to be fair. Also note Thursday is naked night. So after a certain time in the day everyone is required to be naked.

Parties. Party nights can be a bit full on and sometimes the whole vibe is different. And sometimes they can be too busy. Wall to wall people, rooms constantly occupied and just a bit too hectic. You get people in on guest list who aren't members and sometimes treat the club and facilities with a lack of respect. So if you go on a party night just don't judge this as the clubs normal vibe.

So really there is a night for everyone. And what ever night you go it's a great club and you'll have a good time. It's just some nights suit people better than others. And remember open in the daytime too which is handy.
