Hi, me and the wife are thinking of giving the Attic a try for the first time next week. Just wondering what the dress code is for Thursday and Friday evenings, specifically for men (pretty sure my wife will be dressed appropriately lol). Website says smart casual, but that can mean so many things. Would jeans and a smart shirt be ok? And are smart trainers allowed or does it need to be actual shoes? Thanks.

It has generally been a loosely enforced dress code.. look like you are straight off a site, and likely to be turned away. Look like you have made an effort, likely to be fine.

Smart jeans (no rips) and smart trainers are normally OK, but take some shoes in the car, just in case!

Jeans are fine just not ripped jeans, shirt is perfect, trainers OK for a Thursday/Friday night but NOT a Saturday night.

I always like to make an effort so I would say smart jeans and shirt or polo shirt with shoes, I would not wear trainers or ones that could be mistaken for trainers, it always gives a good impression if you are dressed nicely.

Thanks all. I'd normally wear shoes, but have just wrecked the ones that I had that went with jeans, and struggling to find any I like that fit. Only got ones now that look ok with a suit.

As mentioned earlier, on a Thursday or Friday trainers are allowed. Not on a Saturday. Otherwise smart casual kind of means... make a effort so a lady will take notice of you. So a pair of smart jeans or trousers and a shirt or polo shirt will suffice.

Thanks for the info. To be honest for us it's more about the other guys impressing my wife than me impressing the women lol
