we go to one club most saturdays ... cos its local and we LOVE it...
and reviewed it 13 times over past 6 months....
apparently thats wrong and seen as 'suspicious' and cant be 'genuine'...
supposed to be a free world... so why cant we review EVERY week if we go EVERY week???

Dont have a huge issue with that, I think the main gripe is people that just continuosly review a club for the sake of it ( or being in with the owners so trying to get the reviews up )
If the club has a special event then review the event not just the club for the sake of it
The whole review section needs an overhaul in my opinion |

This.
A review every 2 weeks is total overkill , you are reviewing your night out not the club. |

I really don't see the point of adding a review every week or every other week, it would be total overkill as the post above says...
The club reviews are to review the club and not the night you went.
I agree that the club page needs overhaul, mostly because there's clubs listed that have closed down (some over a year ago) and are still on there.
Fab should change it so a profile can only review a club once every 3 months or something in my opinion.

For us its pointless seeing tons of reviews from the same people or regulars.
The problem is as im sure admin etc will admit its a very hard task to police all of this and make judgements of bogus or genuine reviews.
One review per 3 months is a little long but agree there should be a timescale involved. Once again though its hard to enforce. |

The idea of a rewiew section should in my opinion be able to give you a true view of the club and that includes the ability to leave negative feedback (as long as its constructive) without worry.
However the biggest problem with the section at the moment are those that got a club every week or a couple of times a week and leave a review every time, it just saturates the page and reduces the chances of getting a range of opinions.
I think a review once every 3 months or if something has changed at the club (new features/areas) is a fair way to do it. |

when regulars constantly review a club it's not very impartial or fair and these fake reviews end up being misleading.
Every club is different and no night in a club will be the same but some clubs have better facilities, nicer surroundings and get a better type of clientele than others. |

A bit over the top is there any need for that many most people will think they are not doing their local clubs any favor who wants to read so many reviews from the same person i know we don't we like reading a variety of reviews they make good reading. If some one has to leave that many reviews then they must be trying to increase the number of reviews for their chosen club. |

As already mentioned I think it should be a review of the club, not your night out.
I agree with the op, in that we too love our club but refrain from reviewing every time unless there is something to note. We have reviewed a few weeks running where the club is under a bit of an overhaul and things are changing.
Likewise, if someone mentions something in the reviews and we've been since and it's been resolved we'll mention it.
I still want the ability on my profile to "check in" to a club. I also think something similar to amazons review section would be good, where you can see the percentage of each type of review and drill down if you want to - ie its easy to see the bad reviews.

Been a club owner I totally agree that something needs doing. Maybe once every 3 month, I tell all our members not to constantly put reviews on, unless something has changed. It annoys us to see the same people putting the same reviews on all the time saying ..... Had a great night the fun was blar blar blar. It's a club review section ffs |

Totally agree, it's about reviewing the club and not the night you went. |

"Not saying it does happen, but I wonder if someone constantly reviews a club, that they are being asked to by the owners or as a favour to the owners"
Its hard to tell but some certainly do look like this |

As a club owner I would like to point out that 75 to 80 percent of the reviews that are given are a waste of time and worthless. For us to see review after review by the same people praising and promoting the club we feel is not giving a true reflection for the newer people that are considering going to a club for the first time. We feel that giving a "review" of a club should be limited to at least once every 3 months and that the review is based on the club NOT on how good a night you have had. An important factor for a club is to at least try to make improvements in area's that customers feel could do with improving, how are we ever going to know what improvements we could make if every review is "fabulous" "the best club in the world" etc etc etc.... another flaw in this review system is when someone posts a bad review about a club then posts 2 or more reviews weekly on another clubs review page. There is no swingers club in the world that can please ALL the people ALL the time, so come on if you have an honest worthwhile review to post then yes, post it, good or bad all we ask is for an HONEST opinion.... we really are getting sick hearing that "juicy lucy" has had another great night with great people in a great club every night this week, last week and the week before. |

I've stated my views on club reviews in other threads believing they shouldn't take place more than once every 3 months. I've also stated that the review section should be more structured in that it could have a tick box for example that all facilities stated in the clubs website are working when you visited and a grading sytem out of 10 for things like cleanliness, staff friendliness, range of facilities, maybe even a suggestion area of what a reviewer would like to see at the club whether that be a themed room eg dark room or a party night eg couples only or foam party etc
I disagree with some of the comments of the club owners that a review should only be about the club and not the night out you have had. The two go hand in glove in the sence of if the club has the best facilities in Europe but no one goes to the club, the ambience isn't working and the "experience" of the club would not be as good as a small club with a full, friendly feel to it. Ofcourse thats always going to be subjective and people can draw there own conclusions but without that it would be like reviewing a holiday and saying the hotel room was clean with 2 beds and a shower and the plane ride was comfortable, when the actual holiday is about how you felt while you were there too. |

"Can you go to clubs as a single male? Or is it couples only? Alway wanted to go but never knew the politics. X"
The answer is yes you can though some clubs operate couples only nights. Best thing to do is pick the club you want to go to, check out thier website or phone them up and ask them.
