I can definitely vouch for Club F in the north east.
Staff are great, the people are amazing and it's well equipped. As larger people, I don't think we've ever felt as welcome and comfortable somewhere.
The reviews on this site for Club F speak for themselves too. |

Of the three we have visited in the area we wouldn't denigrate any of them. They are all good; albeit we have personal preferences but they are fairly surface level. All we would say have their USP compared to the others to a lesser or greater extent.
F was our first club, but we have to concede that our judgement may be out of date as we haven't been back for a number of years. Not for any fault on their part but because we tend to use clubs as a play venue rather than a social venue; and our club going playmates more recently have come from the south and not the north. It's a very fine club, it's USP without question is the kitchen and the dungeon. Having a place on site to get a snack is a game changer after a long session in the play rooms and if dungeons are your thing F's is IMO the finest of the local clubs. Plenty of equipment, great ambiance and literally underground. It's downsides are that it has traditionally been a little bit less... Polished than some of the others. Broken fixtures and fittings have been more common at F than the rest which can detract from the sexy vibe. But this may have substantially improved in recent years.
Quest is the smallest of the clubs, this is a mixed factor. The downside is that it simply isn't going to be able to have as many facilities as some other clubs; it's play rooms are more limited, it can't take the capacity of other larger clubs. But the upside of that is that it doesn't require as many people to feel full and vibrant and that's an undersold quality. It's always been extremely clean and modern in its decor and the standard of fit and finish is potentially the strongest of the three. It's USP is it's small size which when quiet can be a good feeder club for those looking to enter the club scene; and when full can satisfy those looking for a bustling "night club alike" vibe. It's major downsides are that it's modern aesthetic isn't to some tastes, it has without question the worst dungeon of the three which is so poor as to be a tear down and start again job, and it has a reputation for being more affected by "The Wanking Dead" than the other three. I would have to agree with that sentiment but of course mileage may vary night by night.
Pandora's is the biggest club we have ever been to. It has taken over from Quest as our mainstay in the last few years after what we would describe as a shaky start when it first opened. There were substantial teething problems we identified at our first visit which actually led us to dismiss it for a long time. Thankfully those have all been ironed out now and it seems to be running like a well oiled machine. It's USP is the opposite to Quest, it's size. Unmatched for number and diversity of play spaces in the region you are guaranteed to find somewhere to your tastes (or get lost in its labyrinth corridors finding them) it's general feel in the public areas is in our experience probably the friendliest of the three and it puts on fantastic theme nights if that is your thing. As the mirror of Quest it's size is also it's greatest weakness. It does need a lot of people to feel full and that can be a problem if you want that sort of an experience. Theme nights are better for this as they bring a lot of people through the door. The dungeon is very good; not quite to Club F levels but certainly extremely functional and well thought out with actually better equipment levels than any other club in the area; it simply can't compete with the dank ambiance of actually being underground like club F for us.
Well that went on a while. Hope it was helpful |
