Yes, always. Membership doesn't have to be expensive or cost anything at all. One of the clubs we go to Membership is free foe everyone, but you do need to apply for it and be a member to enter. It gives an added level of safety and accountability. I think it gives everyone a safer feeling than a club where anyone can just anonymously walk in off the street. |

"Totally understand and agree with you. Do you think it helps with the ratio within clubs ? "
Yes and No. If your talking about differing prices affecting ratios anyway.
For single guys if its a good club I'd say no. If you look at Chameleons they charge a Kings ransom for annual Male membership and entry. Yet even at their prices they fill their books and often have men on a waiting list. I think as long as a club is good and men think it'll be rich soil many will just open their wallets. Maybe not so much if a club was rubbish.
Single ladies and couples maybe. To use the Chameleons example I definitely think many would think about alternative clubs if they charged the same prices as the men.
However when we talk about ratios (if I'm being cynical) I don't think many people are talking how we can increase the numbers of men? Therefore I think for women and couples membership prices aren't a huge factor (as long as they're not eye watering high). I think for most the main factor is the location, quality, safety and vibe of a club over whatever the membership price is. Thus I would say this should be a clubs priority to encourage single women and couples, not membership costs or special rates. As for guys if the club is good and frequented by lots female (attached or single) they come even if a bit prices and to some extent they're treated like second class citizens. I mean no offence by this, just seems to be the way of things. |

Absolutely agree, for us the price is an afterthought. Not because money is no object; it certainly is; but because it's an irrelevant factor in the decision making next to everything you have mentioned.
Swinging, compared to other forms of socialising and entertaining is unbelievably cheap. If we wanted to go out, be entertained to a similar level, for a similar amount of time, in the traditional pub and club environment it would cost 3x the price.
Quality is key.
As for memberships, in our view essential. This is a space where you are bringing the most intimate parts of yourself and your partner to be shared. You want that environment to be a discerning one. Personally I'm of the view I would make membership requirements MORE stringent and not less and I would fully support something like PubWatch for swingers clubs to employ a banned in one banned in all approach.
Ultimately these are private members clubs, and should always remain so. |

Lots of clubs are run as Private Members Clubs so legally should have all visitors registered as 'members', when running their own events. This does not apply if the club is being used to host an event run by an outside organisation. |

So what personal information / contact details would you be happy with the club keeping on? |

In an ideal world - Something uniquely identifiable in an authorities sense of the word but not readily identifiable in a general public sense of the word.
National insurance number actually comes to mind.
But short of that, in a practical sense, the clubs to which we are members have our full names and addresses.
Are we 100% happy with it; no.
Are we cognisant of the fact that it has to be this way; yes |
