Has anyone ever been to this club in Amsterdam, particularly on a Thursday night? Just want to get an idea of how busy it usually is etc?"
I went a few years ago, but on a Saturday night rather than a Thursday. As it's a while ago you'll have to take the numbers with a pinch of salt, but it was very full on the Saturday night. The Showboat is a converted Houseboat and had a large bar, a fabulous hot buffet and a large dancefloor with great music. There was a sauna, some private rooms, a small dungeon and a large open playroom.
At the time I went it was theonly club in or near Amsterdam that allowed single guys in on a Saturday night but as there were so many couples in, you'd have been hard pushed to easily find a single guy.
The Showboat is located literally on the edge of a residential housing estate, and you can get to it by train from Amsterdam. I did that on my 2nd visit, but lets just say it's not as close to the train station as I was led to believe and I ended up wandering through the housing estate looking for the place thinking for a wjile I'd made a dreadful mistake.
You can drive to it or take a taxi, I would guess the taxi fare being somewhere between 25 & 50 euro each way from central Amsterdam.
My opinion of the club was it was excellent and well worth the trip. It will undoubtedly be quieter on a Thursday night, and as an alternative there is Paradice Club in Amsterdam itself which is also an excellent club. I'm not sure about nowadays but Paradice Club ran a "Gang Bang" night on Thursdays which is really very similar to UK clubs Greedy Girls nights.

We were planning on going to Showboat on the Thursday because they have a gangbang night too. We were then going to go to Paradise on Friday night and Fun4two on Saturday night. Do you know what sort of night Paradise is on a Friday? |

We were going to the Paradise but when we asked for a taxi to North Amsterdam the guy on the hotel desk was amazed we wanted to go there...then the taxi driver said the same thing. We wondered what we were getting into so didn't end up going! |

If you're in Amsterdam I'd also recommend the Candy Club, which is in the East of the city near the old Ajax Stadium. It's small but very friendly - it says it was the first swingers' club in the city. Nice bar and lovely staff. |

but you may find its not very busy on a thurs its a long trek
paradise is central easier to get to and would be a far smarter option on a thursday if your intent on playing at either ,
I would seriously suggest you let the guys/others know ,
the club girls are there to do a job , and also get there as it opens so all the peeps see you
g/b playing couples are rare and most dont participate with guys ,
so attending guys will use whats gauranteed first.
paradise is 10 / 15 mins away
showboat a taxi drivers nightmare unless he is dead sure he knows it
paradise use a recognised taxi service who will collect and return you
they sometimes only open part of the club if its quiet.
When paradise closes come back to central pop in to sameplace ,
noting if you want fun kick it off yourselves.
B1 well its not like it used to be when its very cold it can be full of guys sheltering from the weather the smells of food and other can be over whelming
mainly bi guys rarely see other couples

We just got back from showboat. We had a good night but to put it bluntly it was a fucking nightmare to get to. Not helped by our lack of understanding on how Dutch trains work. Fortunately we met a nice English guy in there who helped us get back afterwards.
It was actually busier than we thought for a Thursday. The only disappointment was that we were only there for a couple of hours because of how long it took us to get there. Just a word of advice, don't mix up the intercity trains and the sprinter trains! |

Try "the same place" in Amsterdam it's not a sex club but a place where you can sit around the bar and chat or watch couples playing even joining in to, they have a dungion and a dark room which is fun |

We attended showboat a few yrs ago and we got their taxi by ringing the club he collected us from our hotel then took us back later .....well worth a visit excellent club |

We went to the b1 two years ago it was fun, we went cos the wife had never been to a porn cinema before. It is really seedy and dark quite a few men who we definitely didn't want to play with but met a nice English guy in there who we played with and went for a beer together afterwards.
Was worth the experience but we didn't feel like we needed to repeat it the next time we went.

We went to Paradise on Friday night. There were five couples and about ten single guys. J found a few guys to play with but the choice was very limited. We saw the girl the club out in there. €4.50 for soda water was a shock though. Great club after all sai_ and done. |
