We only need look across the channel to see progress for the future. The UK scene is changing, at the moment its very muddled as a house party is brilliant and can be a lot more "intimate" with the right mix and well hosted, but it gets "mutated" when charges are made as then you become subject to the laws of fire, heath & safety, licencing etc etc. For a number of years this has fallen under the radar of councils etc, but ironically as the scene is now growing there are a number of councils beginning to see that these "rule breakers" are easy targets and we have seen a number closed, this will continue. This happened in Europe and what happened was a new generation of "proper" clubs emerged, far more professionally run, and on a much bigger scale. This NEW breed of clubs is beginning to evolve in the UK, offering safe, professionally managed and licenced premises that offer diversity, themed events, biffer choice of facilities and trained staff to ensure your needs are well catered for. I suspect that in the next 5 years we will see a dozen big national clubs thrive and expand, and localised well run house parties also thrive as we broaden the lifestyle appeal to the ever growing numbers we are seeing. The "middle" venues will slowly vanish as councils and the tax man stamp down, one of the side effects as swinging becomes ever more popular. So...good news for swingers as the choices will offer better and better standards. |
