We find house parties better because good hosts usually try to invite those who they think wiil likely gel with each other !!

We prefer clubs, Done a few house parties and havnt loved them, they tend to be a more all in, in one room and we prefer our meets a little more private, and away from unwanted attention, as its not nice in a group to say no to someone. Also if your not liking someone in there its easier to stay out of the way. Just our little opion

As a club we obviously prefer clubs ! But I think it can only be healthy for the scene to have both types of party.

Also what do you class as a club, as a number of clubs are in houses and still retain the feeling of private house parties, where as clubs such as ours and Xtasia are more like night clubs with numerous benefits

As for numbers we are averaging 200 every Saturday which is on par with 2012 and up on 2011 so things are looking good...snow permitting of course lol

"...do you think clubs are dying due to the popularity of house parties..."

Absolutely not! One of the main topics of discussion between people at parties are their club experiences, and if a club has a good name then "word of mouth" is the best promotion that they can get amongst their target clientelle. (of course if a club has a bad name, well....)

I think clubs are certainly a safer choice, staff are there to make sure everything runs smoothly - They are there to work... Hosts at house parties more than often will join in and then you're on your own if there's a problem.

There's always been stories of spiked drinks and guys that wont take no for an answer at house parties but if you cant find the host as they're 'busy' having fun then what do you do ?

It's like I said above, clubs have staff who are there to work and not vanish for a quicky so you can be a lot safer in a club.

I'm not saying all house parties have problems, I've been to good ones and a couple of terrible ones, my first concern would always be safety for me and my partner though and I'm sure everyone will agree on that.

I don't think clubs are dying. I don't do house parties due to the dynamics of most. I'm a greedy girl and don't really find that couples want what I'm after.

So clubs all the way. There is no expectations to play where as at house parties I've previously been too it did seem more expected.

We only need look across the channel to see progress for the future. The UK scene is changing, at the moment its very muddled as a house party is brilliant and can be a lot more "intimate" with the right mix and well hosted, but it gets "mutated" when charges are made as then you become subject to the laws of fire, heath & safety, licencing etc etc. For a number of years this has fallen under the radar of councils etc, but ironically as the scene is now growing there are a number of councils beginning to see that these "rule breakers" are easy targets and we have seen a number closed, this will continue. This happened in Europe and what happened was a new generation of "proper" clubs emerged, far more professionally run, and on a much bigger scale. This NEW breed of clubs is beginning to evolve in the UK, offering safe, professionally managed and licenced premises that offer diversity, themed events, biffer choice of facilities and trained staff to ensure your needs are well catered for. I suspect that in the next 5 years we will see a dozen big national clubs thrive and expand, and localised well run house parties also thrive as we broaden the lifestyle appeal to the ever growing numbers we are seeing. The "middle" venues will slowly vanish as councils and the tax man stamp down, one of the side effects as swinging becomes ever more popular. So...good news for swingers as the choices will offer better and better standards.

"what with all the scam stories I think we'll be keeping to the club scene!"

Could you be anymore melodramatic? One scam, so lets condemn all parties...

Personally I prefer clubs, as it is not guest list dependant.

When I go to a club, it's unknown, fresh faces and a surprise to who is in.

Scams have been round years, new club exclusive membership upfront fees or upfront fee's for a private party.

Simply do not pay upfront

Not exactly melodramatic just stating our preference and reasons

I suppose it depends on how big the house is and what type of party it is,if its a gangbang then house can be just as good. But clubs have bars, sauna, hot tubs as well as a lot more space and more guests.

Good point it depends on how big the house is. What many people do not know is many clubs are houses so they are house parties. For example i have been to Abfabs great club but it is a bungerlow in a residensial area. And the same for secrets its a bungerlow yet again but great place to go.not all clubs are industrial but really gloryfied houses all worth a visit
