New Web Site does look good, Nearly jumped out of my skin though when it started "Talking" to me. Not a website to open disceetly if you have your speakers switched on....

A serious lack of thought, on the part of the web site designers, given the nature of the site!!

If I had been designing the website the video would have been in a container that allowed control of the volume and started off in mute mode. Sound on websites pisses people off at the best of times but when 90% of your target audience are married guys who's wives don't know they swing --- well you get the picture.

To be frank, it's not a question of whether it's a single guy, a single woman, a couple or a CD/TS opening the site, it's the unexpected surprise of opening the site and a voiceover starting almost immediatly.

You could be part of a couple opening the site discreetly on your laptop while your kids are in the vacinity of where you are, and the noise attracts their attention, you could be in work and having a little peep on your own notebook over lunch and suddenly up pops the video complete with sound.

I do like the site but I'd definately prefer the video was an opt in, rather than an opt out process and that has nothing to do with my being a single guy..

"Blackpool Connections website video, now has a play button, so does not come on immediately the site is opened... "

A guy called Python99955 posted the above in a new thread, but as it applies directly to this thread I've copied the quote into here.

It's good to see that the club owner or if a different person the website administrator has taken note of comments here and maybe elsewhere too and has done something to sort the issue out.

Excellent News.

I'm having problems viewing the website on my Android phone, all the text on Prices, Opening hour, Gum clinic ect. seams to be pushed over to the right and mostly missing. Anybody else having this problem on other mobile devices.
