Talking utter bollocks outside private rooms

Jump to: Newest in thread

Is this a new trend these days? Second time in just over a week we have been in a private room in a club and people have just stood outside talking about what they have benched at the gym the day before or where they are going on holiday next month.

Last night really was the icing on the cake with 5 guys outside our room talking utter bollocks. We even shouted if you want to hold your WI meeting please do so outside!

It's so off putting!! Anyway rant over

I've noticed it over the past 10 years or so.

I hate hearing about their work or how the price of consumables has gone up or trying to diagnose their car issues.

It totally kills the vibe

I suspect they’re making a point about your door being closed/locked. Honestly all they want to do is ogle your bits and play with themselves honestly, throw them a bone why dontcha

Totally agree with this. There definitely seems to be more of this now. Clubs are becoming more and more just social clubs. On our last visit to a club we were having a foursome whilst two guys stood nearby talking loudly about the temporary traffic lights and contra flow on the A road 5 miles away. Totally killed the vibe!

If they were outside the room what harm were they doing? Surely they dont have to discuss sexual things all the time?

At a party, I once had to take my partners cock out of my mouth and say to the couples perching on the end of the sofa we were playing on discussing weightwatchers ...'fascinating as your conversation is, we're trying to have sex here...'...they did move but got all huffy and were giving me the evil eye for the rest of the night...

Think the worst offenders for this are people talking loudly in a dungeon area whilst play is happening. Was once told by someone that it's best to think of a dungeon as a library unless there's already a bit of ambient noise

At least they weren't talking about their grandkids etc.

Seriously though, it is like some people have no concept of what is an appropriate conversation in an appropriate place.

We're there, in a large part, because it's a world away from reality, leave that shit at the door!

Thing is the private rooms are there away from social areas so there is absolutely no need to talk about the last concert you saw. Just enjoy the show and keep quiet. It's really off-putting

What’s worse than that is being at a club and witnessing couples sitting outside playrooms taking the piss out of couples enjoying themselves - that’s disgusting and put us off and I’m sure many other couples from playing that evening and actually going to that club ever again

Private rooms are just private and not guaranteed soundproof.

Why on earth should I? It was a play area at a sex party...they can go and talk about their calorie intake next to the buffet, they're not allowed to eat...

Yes too right. Surely it’s better them chatting/ socialising than acting like the wanking dead zombies which ‘self-entitled’ couples more usually whinge about!

On the flip side, last week we'd just finished a steamy session and were having a chat. A single guy then knocked the door and said "Are you guys finished and just going to chat now".......what was a potential next victim, quickly turned into creep.

P.S. it was mid week in an almost empty club, so no rooms were hogged during chat

Surely etiquette should be followed in these places and everyone respect each other.

Never been to a club before as my wife has absolutely no interest, such a pity.

Don’t agree with that at all. Most clubs have a bar area where you can chat/dance/socialise or whatever. But the other areas are or should be for people who want to play. It’s nothing to do with feeling entitled.

It’s a bit like in a swimming pool when they section off lanes for people who really want to swim. You wouldn’t want people from the main bit of the pool standing in there. They’ve got another bit they can just stand in and splash around if they want to.

Nail on the head. Nearly every club has a separate bar area for socialising. Chat there and not right outside the door of a private room.

Funny thing was where we were on Tuesday we planned to put on a show but they missed out

Far too much socialising and not enough sex in a couple of the sex clubs we've been to. If you want a chat over a drink go to a bar, if you want to fuck then fuck.

I don't agree with this. It's perfectly acceptable to go to a club and drink in the bar and socialise and not play.

What's not OK is to socialise in the play areas, and definitely not the dungeon.

Our club has a rule that you're not allowed to play in the bar, I don't see that expecting people not to socialise in the play areas is unreasonable.

Don't wanna harp on about the postmodern swing culture, but the climate did seem rather different a couple of decades back... There appears to be a huge crossover of social with swinging.

If it was outside a locked door then I see no issue to be fair. It's a swingers club which means it's also a social.... if it had been an open play area or a dungeon then I would have thought differently

I've been doing clubs for 27 years now.. don't think it's changed that much except there are a lot of younger swingers now.

Social and meeting like minded people is the main reason for a club in my eyes... play is always an added bonus but certainly not why I go.

Mibbe it was a case of "less is more". There seemed to be more of a private house party/basement club scene, like the one in Finsbury Pk

The social aspect is the best part and often we attend clubs and parties to just socialise. However out of respect there is always a bar area where we stick to talking about things. Never outside a private room away from the social space where people could be playing.

We have noticed this too in the last 10 years. Couldn't believe the amount of young swingers at Chams on our last visit. There does seem to be an increase in Eastern Europeans there too which is nice to see
