What do people think about smoking and vaping in clubs?
We've been to different clubs over the last 2 months and noticed that the busiest areas tend to be the smoking areas.
At one point on Saturday night in Quest there were only about 3 couples in the bar but the smoking area was full. This was the same last time we went to HU9.
Although we don't smoke it would appear that if you want to be social you almost have to go in the smoking area just to be with people!
There were 1 or 2 people vaping in the main areas of both clubs but the vast majority of people were outside.
Is this something that others have noticed and as a none smoker would it put you off attending if people were allowed to smoke in a club?

Smoking inside a public place is illegal so can't see any club allowing it, as for vaping, most organisations will treat this as the same especially as a lot still contain nicotine.
Smoking areas are usually a social area, pubs/clubs etc are pretty much the same but less noticeable at times due to volume of people still inside in pubs and clubs.
Smoking will always be "marmite" and put some people off, it's down to the smoker/vaper to freshen up the smell if they choose |
