Had my first night on Friday.
There is absolutely no need for any worry.
It is the most chilled and friendly place you can imagine. Ten minutes and I was hooked.
Is it intimidating? Maybe until you enter. Maybe a little as you go to change. Treat it like jumping into the sea. The first seconds - and I mean only seconds - may feel uncomfortable but then as soon as you are wet you never want to leave. The time flies.
I’m no Adonis, but I got the impression that since there is no ambiguity as to why people are there, it is more relaxed. Everybody talks to you. Don’t worry about an inferiority complex - I’m not sure that a six pack or a supermodel body are a valuable currency in the club.
Just as a tester, smile and say hello to a random person. You have to talk.
And if I am there, say hello to me or whoever is around me if you are nervous. We will talk to you.
Simply: The worst is the first few seconds, and even then it is far less worrying than getting changed at a gym.
After that, to me, a relatively reserved person with a little self confidence issue, it was just wonderful.
I fucking loved every second.
