So do I on a summers day/eve + the woods are wonderful.
but for a winters forey they are limited in the play areas dept, and its a bit more like a caravan club with loud music, so chatting at night isnt that easy.
But each to their own. |

ive been to both in the past pleasures is great for new comers and couples cos has a nice relaxed less pressure atmosphere it does have a social area and staff and host are brill known then a lot of years plenty of rooms both lockable and unlock-able none are stipulated just for couples only like eurekas they have one couples only room
but saying that the other side of the coin eurekas does have a large dance area good for socialising if you ant chit chat n in the summer plenty outside area for play with huts if that's your thing but less in doors play area its down to what your looking for |

Just to make this a fairer assesment.
Not noticed any pressure at Eurekas, but if there were any issues no doubt the staff would sort them in a professional way.
There are 3 lockable playrooms and a large couples area...
The place is VERY relaxed, and very welcoming to ALL.

We haven't been to pleasures but went to a 'social' at Eurekas last summer and have to say we couldn't really socialise even if we'd wanted to as the music was just too loud in the main dance area. Great for if you're into dancing but if we wanted to do that, we'd go to a regular night club. And considering it was a social, we weren't introduced to anyone or encouraged to mingle. We were shown to a table by a member of staff (who was very nice)and just sat there nursing drinks.
The place came across as very cliquey with the regulars clustered around in groups. We sat at the table unable to talk because of the noise of the music so tried moving outside with the smokers and then wandered about, smiling at people and trying to look friendly - none of which elicited any conversation from the regulars.
The couples room was too hot and sweaty (some ventilation wouldn't go amiss) and the other rooms too small so we didn't actually play - even with each other.
This was a night time event so I don't know what it's like outdoors during the day - good by all accounts - but I can only say how it was for US at an evening, indoor do. I have heard it's in the process of being upgraded so that's good news although if it's going to be the same format (a loud nightclub with shagging on the peripherals) I doubt we'd go back for an evening events. |
