We're looking to go to a club for the first time. We're looking for the right club for us.
We're moving to outer west London so it should be fairly accessible from there. We'd like somewhere quite relaxed. I (Luke) have been to Eureka and I know that's not for us because it was quite noisy. We're not really party-goers and clubbers. We would really like to just chill out and meet people in a calm and friendly environment and have a natter.
We don't want an imbalance of men there, so couples and single females nights with a limit on men would be ideal.
Where would you recommend for us and why? |

We get a lot of London based people at Jaydees near Bedford.. yes it has a great party atmosphere but it is a very large club with quiet lounge areas, a massive relaxing hot tub and plenty of places to take yourselves away .. even a kitchen where you can make your own hot drinks and natter just like at home
Whereever you try we wish you a great experience!

Sounds like Jaydees might be a club you should consider. Yes, it's not too close to London, but not overly far either.
There are areas in the club designed for socialising only, with low or no music, private lockable rooms should you want to play, open play areas that you don't need to go anywhere near if you only want to socialise, couples only room, disco area, and a massive hot tub to die for! |

We have been to both Ab-Fabs and Hellfire.
I would definitely recommend Hellfire for what you are looking for. It's a bit smaller, there is a nice intimate bar area and there are quite a few fairly private rooms with varying degrees of privacy.
AbFabs was pretty busy when we went and is quite big, there is a lot going on there. |

"Kestrels is good buzz,Ab Fabs tends to be busier but depends on night "
Don't get me wrong, I love Kestrels, with its relaxing atmosphere. But, as it's a spa, it's impossible to control the numbers of single men going to be there. And OP said they'd prefer just a selected few males, Kestrels is not really an option for them. |

Thanks. I appreciate the tip. |

"Somebody has suggested Penthouse Playrooms in Dunstable. What's the vibe there like? What is the place like? "
I've only been once, when the place was opened for socials only. It's very much like a nightclub, with music a tad too loud for me, and some socialising areas. They do have quite a few playrooms there, including couples only, cinema, BDSM area. No wet facilities as yet (as far as I'm aware), limited lockers, licenced bar. Fridays- everyone is welcome, Saturdays is females and couples only- again, as far as I'm aware. |

Kestrels, abfabs or hellfire are good places to start. A search of the forums may help. None of them get too manic. Abfabs Is huge so easy to find a quiet corner of your own and Hellfire whilst compact never overcrowd in my experience.
I really like Bristol Gardens spa in Brighton though it’s much more spa than sex

Think you need to pay penthouse another visit,
So the club itself, music is never too loud, very unlikely to be loud if you attended the social night.
Hot tubs very near done along with communal showers.
Lockers there is over 80 of them.
Friday everyone welcome, that’s news to us as all single males need membership, and are vetted.
Saturdays events depending, like this Saturday is open to all.

I'd say Bristol Gardens in Brighton is worth looking at.
Saturday and Sundays are couples only after 6. We tend to spend the day just enjoying the spa and chatting, then if we're in the mood, go into the rest rooms after 6.
It's not too full on, it's a naturist spa where you can have some fun. Any single men causing a nuisance get warned then get asked to leave. |

I didn't mention it but we have been to BGHS a few times and we love it. Unfortunately we're moving somewhere where it's not as easy to get there. It does have exactly the vibe we like, with the play area sectioned off and we will only see anything like that when we choose to go into that area.
We haven't often ended up talking to other couples there though. We're interested in trying somewhere that is less spa-orientated, and BGHS is very much the sort of calm vibe we'd like to find and be able to strike up some conversations. |
