I tried asking this in introductions with one response, so I am trying it here in the hope of getting some more replies.
I'm old (79), in Oxfordshire, and want to get back into things after a long (decades) gap. That means I need to start visiting clubs. So I am looking for advice as to which clubs are more frequented by us oldies, and/or where we would be welcomed. I have no wish to go to one and find that everyone else is under 40.
So what do you club experts suggest? |

Not sure how far you want to travel but Gems in Yeovil is very good for the more mature guy. |

Yeovil is about 100 miles away which is manageable. Which leads to a second question for people. How far are people willing to travel after a club meet, or is staying in a nearby hotel the norm? |

Also check out the verifications on jaydeesclub profile. You will see also who they are from.
The most inclusive club in the land.

We wouldn't want to travel much further than an hour, any further then we would book a nearby hotel. |

thank you all for the information which I shall follow up on.
So another question: can you tell me which clubs have afternoon slots?
(not all the club links have valid web site addresses which makes things trickier to find anything out) |

You sounds lovely! Hope you have an enjoyable time getting back out there. I have no advice as we are fresh faced newbies ourselves, just wanted to wish you all the best. |
