Chat beforehand about what you would like to happen. Check you both want the same thing and have a signal to say you want to stop and talk kind of thing.
Be firm with guys or couples if anyone is bothering you and you aren't interested. But be prepared to chat with people and find out more about what it's like in clubs.

We like to start in a room with stable doors - The Attic had a few of these - that way we can leave the top open so we can be watched, and when someone we like the look of asks, we let them in.
If you don't fancy that, start in a private room - there are lots, including one with a closable viewing window. |
