"How tragic"
My condolences go out to those who knew him

Who ever tried to save him deserves to be thanked and offered some sort of counselling, as this tragic shock will affect everybody in different ways.

To think, I was there with my partner and friends on Saturday afternoon.

It was awful, the guy must’ve had a heart attack or fit. It all happened so quickly and everyone did what they could and worked together to help him.

Trust the Sun to make it look so seedy.

Tell me about it; if it was a women they would have published her vital statistics, given half a chance.

Such sad news and traumatic for those who tried to help him. I hope his family and other people who were there get support if they need it.

I wouldn't trust anything that the Sun publish. The fiance of a work colleague died in a car crash and they published an article which which was full of lies. It was heartbreaking for him to have to read that.

"Apologies why is this relevant on a sex site..without being insensitive.."

For a couple of reasons. Firstly because it’s a club that people from this site frequent and so they might be interested to know and secondly it might be closed now if you wanted to go there.

Yes this is a sex site but we presume you have seen the different posts in the forum. People post about lots of things.

Understanding the reasons will be of interest to get some confidence in the safety of the venue.

(No assumptions here, just need to understand if all reasonable measures were in place and in accordance with their risk assessments. You can never remove all risk)

As an adult I rather be responsible for my own safety rather than place the onus on a venue/another person.

And no the club was not at fault, it was a tragic incident.

My thoughts are with this persons family x

If I pay an operator to get on their train I expect the operator to have discharged all their responsibilities to keep me safe. If they have then yes, it’s unfortunate and no liability on anyone.

I believe all staff are first aid trained and the local council have given them an operation licence to use the pool.

If I'm right the poor guy had a cardiac arrest. That can happen to anyone at anytime just look at the fit footballer at the euros he was lucky.

Such a sad situation

The club is not liable, as someone who was present at the time and for the respect of the person who tragically lost their life and those who where involved.

I am not going to say anything other than a Thank You to all the staff and guests for coming together and working as a team to help someone in need.

I was there, the week before this poor man died.

Abfab is the night time party venue for swingers

Kestrels is the daytime naturist/swinger venue.

This club doesn't have an official listing on this site.

Plenty of forum users would have visited their previous building, over the years.

There's been a fair few people die at the posh gym/health club near me over the years (they post memorials on the club facebook page ) - heart attack, stroke, epilepsy etc - but because they have clothes on the Sun doesn't report on that. Nor is it the club's fault. Cardiac arrests and such can strike at any time.

How very sad for the gentleman and for those who witnessed and tried to help.

We were present in the pool when it happened.

It was a tragic accident, the staff and those customers who tried to save his life were heroes.

The club was not at fault in anyway.

True, you can't force club goers to remember to take their medication, such as inhalers, angina tablets or the like.

That is solely down to the individual, not the hosts.
