Blandford ish

We are thinking about going back to a club, and now very sensibly there are rules in place, we have had our first but not our second jabs so it’s down to testing but it’s not very clear, the xstasia website says about lateral flow test which I understand are the home ones but then says with a email? But I thought they are home ones? The chams site says similer about being registered on the gov site… anyone explain what we need to do?

I can't really speak for all clubs, but the NHS now has the covid pass in it. You can obtain these either via two jabs, or with a registered LFT (available free from the NHS website, or you can collect these from a chemist).

Once you have a covid pass, it doesn't matter how you got it, they all look the same to the club.

This should be enough for the club, they can download an NHS app to validate your passes too.

I for one will be making sure to take a LFT prior to club visits in addition.

You can do the LFT ones yourself at home and then register the results on the government website.

This will generate an email, a text message abd the ability to get a covid pass through the NHS app (not the NHS covid app).

You do need to verify your identity to use this feature on the NHS app so don't do this last minute as the verifications can take a while for some people.

Some clubs will not accept the LFT and want proof of PCR test within the previously 24 hours. I'm not sure how this will work as some PCR tests have been taking 3/4 days to get the results back in our area.

I don't know how clubs plan to policy the LFT vs PCR vs Vaccination though, because they all appear identically as far as I can work out. No mention of the method by which you obtained the pass.

That's interesting to know. Presume it only shows vaccines if you've had both? I can't have my second one so not quite sure what will happen if being double vaccinated becomes a requirement.
