Club advice, negativity towards males

With lockdown coming to an end, I had been hoping to give clubs a try and hopefully start to make it a fairly regular thing.
Cupids seem to now be well against single males attending, as it will cost 80 quid before you've thought about booking a taxi or a drink.. not the way to make people feel welcome really..
I know Townhouse have a policy where they get to know their members and membership (for any gender) is just 10 pounds. Which sounds fantastic, super professional and doesn't fleece potential customers.
I was wondering if you had any other recommendations for other clubs that are single male friendly but with a structured guest list? |

Swingers clubs developed from house parties that were mainly the domain of couples.
With general access now available in clubs, there still exists some antipathy towards singles.
Beyond that, it is simply a matter of supply and demand, combined with the need for the club to preserve a customer balance that makes it an attractive experience to all potential entrance purchasers. |

Most places are single guy friendly.. it just a case of not being an arse… just go round, talk to people and put your best foot forward |

Yeah, they developed from the more natural version of things and I can also completely understand that there are a lot of male accounts on here and in turn a lot of burks.
Going along with what you mentioned about supply and demand; I understand business but when you compare it to the welcoming page on Townhouses website, it's really unprofessionally done. Townhouse offer membership at the same price to any gender, they just take the time to get to know their members; which explains why i've heard such good things about the atmosphere of their nights I suppose!
I've just seen comments along the lines of "There will always be single guys...". Ahh great, so as long as they pay a daft entry, any single guy welcome  |

I meant before getting to the club; in terms of pricing the night extortionately to put people off. Or seeing comments like "There will always be single guys..."

You don’t need to become a member at cupids straight off, if you went on a party night on the guestlist you don’t have to pay the membership, you pay guestlist price, however if you enjoyed it and wanted to go on a none party night then membership would be required - that’s how it used to be and I believe it’s the same now. Just depends when you were wanting to go. I know loads of guys that have been on party nights and never been a member.
As for single guy friendly, cupids one of the only clubs in the area that allow singles guys in on a Saturday night. |

Is cupids £80 once you're a member? Or is that membership and entrance fee for the one night? Because chams is fairly similar for men but only on the one night once you're a member it's half that. Which I'd happily pay as I spend a lot more on a night out |

Ahh, right - there did seem to be quite a bit of confusion on the opening night threads, so that would make more sense. Though still seems to be a lack of care goes into the 'membership' really. |

Yeah it’s not explained to well because it does read like you have to become a member but the none-member price is noted also. Cupids is a good club, one of my favourites if I’m honest, just waiting for some of the events I like to get announced and I’ll be there. |

No, so it'd be 50 every 6 months for the membership, once a member it would be 30 pound entry. Which like you said, would easily be spent on an evening out.
I think my issue is their 'membership' is just the equivalent to; pay more 'cause you're expendable along with a few comments that echo the sentiment.
As opposed to other clubs who seem to have membership in place to get to know their members and for genuine reasons such as safety and the quality of the night. |
