Chams opening weekend

Jump to: Newest in thread

It's looking increasingly likely chams could open from the 19th July as restrictions will be ending .

We will be there for the 1st weekend

Who else will be going ??

As absolutely super F'ing excited we are we'll probably hang back at bit too. Love it when is busy but not so much when it's ram packed. Just can't wait for thing to be back how they were. Also alot depends on the dates to when we can go.

Also I'm not sure how soon after 18th it'll open. I don't think they'll take any action until after that date has cleared ok (just in case of another last minute move of date). Then I would imagine it'd take at least a week or two to get the club fired back up and staff rostered. That my speculation anyways.

I'd imagine they are still valid (couples are lifetime membership I believe).

Can you imagine the nightmare of re-registering on opening night? If you're at the back of the queue you'll never get in!

If any club has survived this it will be Chams.

Not sure which hotel most people use, but I always stay at the Travelodge in West Bromwich.

Will Chameleons be posting anything to confirm any dates they plan on opening their doors?

Will it be limited capacity?

What will be required to enter the premises, IE, proof of jabs, track and trace etc etc?

This is the favourite club for my wife and I. We have been talking about visiting all through lockdown and we're eager to get back there.

Looking forward to their personal post to confirm

As much as I can see why people are keen to mix again.. Isnt this just playing in to the hands of the government?

They are giving us a 'freedom' on the 19th because they expect the public to fail.. That way it will be our fault not theirs when we lockdown or clog up the NHS again..

At least wait till the remaining 66% percent or so without second vaccinations have had them before opening up swinging clubs again..

If people don't want to go they don't have to. If people want to wait until they've had the second vaccination that's up to them and if people don't want to have it at all that's up to them.

If 65000 people can attend Wembley then I see no problem for clubs to open.

I've never been to a club that's felt over crowded, even on event nights I've managed to have my own space.

"Why track n trace?? Restrictions are being lifted, about time people accepted that and got back to normal instead of being continuously brainwashed by media and government

I don't think these comments are necessary, let's all just enjoy talking about chams and getting back into the fun.

And fun we shall have!

Fully intend to make a visit either on a Friday that I’m off work or a Sunday that I’m free… what’s it usually like on Sundays? Only been once on a Sunday but it was a bbw event so I’m assuming busier than normal?

We are considering trying out chams in darlaston at some point as it’s another one fairly close to us. We’ve been to xtasia and Liberty elite.

Although we are concerned we may be considered too young as in threads about chams, almost everyone who posts appears older than us. Would we seem out of place or are there sometimes people around our age group too?

I’m sure we’re worrying over nothing

Great news, with the government’s recent announcement we have decided to open on 19th July. We will require either a negative test registered on the gov website or a full vaccination passport as per government guidelines to gain entrance to the club. Please note a couple of changes, the car park will no longer be a pay and display for chameleons customers. We will now be closed every Tuesday for maintenance and servicing. This will allow us to carry out any upgrades/maintenance without disruption to the club. We look forward to welcoming you back safely.

Welcome to CHAMELEONS. Uk’s

I was wondering that ...if you have has both jabs (I have) you get the nhs covid pass ....an old negative test would be a bit meaningless...
