Two very different clubs and two very different experiences.
Xtasia is closer to a traditional nightclub with loud music, dance floor and bar area. Most public areas are ‘dress to impress’
Chams is a dress down club, smaller spaces, corridors and more intimate spaces.

"No we have to pay a membership fee first "
Not necessarily, some clubs when there is an organised social event, waive the membership fee for that 1 night if you are on the guest list, you just pay for entry.
I know Chams has done this many times in the past, IDK about Xtasia, maybe someone can fill that blank for me. |

"Or xtasia better to join? "
In the tiniest of nutshells, making sweeping generalisations of which there are many exceptions...
Chams is for players, Xtasia is for the posers
It all depends what you prefer |

Xtasia is great. Tbe dance floor is only one small element of it, which u can ignore. Diff nights different styles. Very friendly staff. There will be 'posers'in all these clubs but plenty of chilled people here, diff floors and areas, dark room, etc. You Can be in full swing or subtle. Easy going, just be respectful. Not been to chams but also heard good things |

Possibly, but what's the difference between a poser and someone scared and anxious about talking to other people...? |

I was tring to be a bit tongue in cheek responding to the poster above who said Chams was for players and Xtasia for poser. I guess you only choose to pull me up on my remark though. |

Weve been to both clubs, as many say they are entirely different. The vibe in chams is what we prefer most of the time so it's our favourite club..xtasia if we want just a social night out that's more relaxed than down town we couldn't find a better venue. Staff are great in both. |

Don’t they have bowls of nuts on the bar at Chams? |

Chams for me everytime. I go primarily to chat/meet new friends so avoid places with loud music.
Like others have said though every night at every club has it's own atmosphere that's just random, no way of avoiding that. |

Join both and then decide for yourself?
Both clubs have similar facilities: hot tubs, discos, play areas, cinema rooms, dungeon room.
Both clubs have differing facilities: chams has a sauna and a steam room, a dress down policy and bring your own bottle. Xtasia is bigger, has a bar, a dogging play room.
I would say both clubs have merits. |

"We can't agree on this. I (Mr.) am not keen on nightclubs or loud dance music, while Mrs. doesn't like the obligatory dress down aspect of Chams."
We found the dress down scary in concept but amazingly positive in reality. Neither of us expected to, but were super glad we tried. |

Why is it that you have to pick one over the other.
Two great club's that offer something different.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes when going to clubs
We go to both and enjoy both for different reasons.
Stop running clubs down just because you prefer something different and be grateful that we have two great venues in the area to choose from when some parts of the UK don't have any clubs to enjoy |

That's good to hear. I'm still hoping to persuade Mrs. B to give it a whirl |

Not been to Xtasia, but I love Chameleons - from the moment you change it of your clothes into a towel (or less), it's relaxation, chat and good fun all the way. Never had a bad day or evening there. |

Exactly, two different types of club, choose which one you think suits you best.
That said, I don't know why Chams members feel the need to slag off XT members as posers, surely after the last year we should be supporting all clubs?
The owners of XT have been extremely nice and open on here despite their business having a year from hell, maybe people could respond in kind instead of running down their clientele? |

They are very different clubs, both can be amazing or awful... it all depends on the people on the night. I’ve had both experiences in both clubs. Just try them and go with an open mind.
Mingle, chat, dance and play.. it’s all there to be had you just have to be relaxed and chilled.. Don’t expect too much and you’ll probably have a great time in both. |

There’s nothing to suggest that it will reopen on their website "
I absolutely love Chams, but their online presence isn't great. Their website and their Fab profile is often out of date, wording a bit off, not great layout etc. I wouldn't take the absence of them advertising as a sign they aren't opening...I presume they just aren't engaging online because that's standard for them not to. I expect we will all know a reopening date soon enough |

I've not spoken to them for a while, but they've been very responsive personally on Facebook messenger, I guess they just don't really think they have anything to say yet..? |

As others have said they are two very different clubs, each with their own merits.
Personally I've always struggled to engage with people at xtasia more than at Chams, most likely down to the loud music & nightclub feel to the place (I'm not one for any kind of dance club so feel very ill at ease).
I have however had some fun at xtasia in areas away from the nightclub area.
Chams is a very different proposition, I find it more or less impossible to get any significant quiet time even if that is what I want (rare).
I absolutely love the spa side of things too, if it is a bit quiet I'll disappear off to the steam room & sauna for a while before heading to Jacuzzis which is normally a very social area.
If I had to pick one & never go back to the other it would be Chams every time but that isn't the reality, you can do both. |

On one of the last nights there last year I’d ended up in the middle of a conversation about the way they were planning on updating the website and the new photos that were being taken, I’m guessing they’re still working on it.
I was trying to convince Steve into including a floor plan to help everyone who gets lost but he said that’s all part of the fun! |

I was going to say that it has always been at the bottom of the right hand set of stairs going up to the top floor but with the renovation & new staircase I best check that is still true..... and I will, first thing on opening night |

Just to add we have been to a couple of Black Country Socials in the pub within Xstasia grounds and were allowed to go have a tour and see what's what. Might be worth a go. The social cost nothing but obviously we had a drink in the pub, you don't stay in the club after just get a look and a feel for it.
Not for us... We love Chams |
