Penthouse playrooms Dunstable

This new club in Dunstable looks very interesting , new owners ,fresh website ,loads of rooms and the comunication I have had with the owners has made me want to get there as soon as possible.
I believe this is the old arousal club.
Looking at the web site it looks like they will be catering for all tastes.
Penthouse playrooms will be on my to do list when everything is open and things are normal again.
So .. who else will be letting their hair down at this club in Dunstable ?
Any advice on access , local hotels , parking .
Gosh I can't wait to get out again and have some fun.

We’re thinking about it....would like to see more pics, the website seems to have a gallery only members can access but haven’t been able to get approved to look. Would be great to see who’s going on opening night....maybe you can convince us!

There's a free, public car park for 40+ cars straight across the road. 1-2 min to get to the club, generally quiet (and not ‘excessively’ public) at the times arriving and leaving, although you do have to cross a main road and there is a Tesco Express right there, so not as discreet as parking round the back (which can be a PITA).
Never had a problem, although I generally don’t walk round with my bum hanging out!  |

There's a free, public car park for 40+ cars straight across the road. 1-2 min to get to the club, generally quiet (and not ‘excessively’ public) at the times arriving and leaving, although you do have to cross a main road and there is a Tesco Express right there, so not as discreet as parking round the back (which can be a PITA).
Never had a problem, although I generally don’t walk round with my bum hanging out! "

Went to old arousals club.. But sounds like there has been a complete gut and refurb done so visually may be totally different.
There will be a licensed bar so no need to bring your own...
Looking forward to the opening night fri25~sat26 June...

We use to use the Holiday Inn express, it's about a mile and a half, so was about £5 there and £10 back.
The hotel knew what the guests were up to...lol
The only downside to being fully licensed for alcohol is the fact the police and I believe the Fire Brigade can visit at any time without notice... |

First bi night 25.06 which is Friday then every third Saturday of each month, all nights are LBGT friendly.  |

I'm planning on going on the 17th of July (third Saturday of the month bi-night), just looked at hotel prices,OMG, the grand prix is on that weekend, £200 for a travel lodge room.
Think I will just go from home.
If anyone else will be going it would be lovely to say hi on here, always nice to go to a new club with new friends to meet xx |

We went to Penthouse Playrooms last night for the first time. We were very impressed by the creative decor and layout of the club, it was very friendly and welcoming, clean and classy! Definitely one of the best clubs we’ve been to. Can’t wait to visit again soon x |

There was security and it’s incredibly important to bring this to their attention. They can only see so much.
Penthouse has been amazing in the last few weeks and we had a great time last night. We did nothing with anyone and no means no and we had no disrespectful guys around us last night. It’s a shame you had a less than perfect experience but that’s people, not the club. The club is always generally fantastic. |

I think before we all start panicking, we need to find out which event the friends attended, if they reported the issue to staff and if the issue was dealt with
So let's wait for their response first
Please also remember that this comment was made "by someone else who heard from someone else" so it isn't exactly the same as first hand experience
Don't always believe what you read from just one person especially if that person hasnt even attended the venue
To get a true picture I would always suggest that you read reviews in the club section - read verifications- do your research
I do hope that you venture out to Penthouse Playrooms for whatever event you're tempted to attend as I can assure you that every one who works there or is connected to the club care about guest safety and have no issue challenging guests who fail to adhere to the etiquette |

I've been as a single girl to several club events. I attended penthouse playrooms when it 1st opened and it was great and run well. If you report people it will get dealt with. Like anywhere there are the odd that don't understand club etiquette, but they will be dealt with and will understand no means no. Please don't be put off x |

At one of PP’s pre-grand opening events, there was an individual whose behaviour and demeanour was causing concern to both male and female guests, including one of my friends who raised her concerns with the management. Shortly afterwards the individual was asked to leave the club. I was impressed with how quickly and decisively the club acted and it reassured me that as a new venue, their stance on poor behaviour was very clear. |

My hubby & I have attended several BMFC nights at Penthouse Playrooms & when it was Arousals. We have always had a great time. Helen & her team make it very clear that if there are any issues brought to their attention then they would be dealt with swiftly & appropriately. We have only had positive experiences and would definitely recommend going xx |

As a member of Penthouse playrooms management. I personally guarantee your safety.
If you are ever worried about anything walk up to any of the guys that have SECURITY written on the back of their Tshirts and they will have your back. So will anyone at the bar or anyone at reception. We love our females members and their protection is paramount. PLEASE just let us know if you have any issues on the night as its very difficult to sort out after the event xxx |

I go as a single woman, I went when it was Arousals and have been now it’s Penthouse playrooms. I attend a lot of clubs and this is by far the best and the one I feel the most safe. Helen does an amazing job and always makes sure everyone has a great night |

Im sorry you didn't feel the DJ. Usually the criticism is followed by we have a DJ friend who thinks he could do better... you can never please everyone. My idea of torture would be to listen to anything Abba. That's someone elses idea of heaven. We've found an experienced DJ who reads the crowd and plays what gets people on the dance floor.It may take a few tracks to work that out because of the diversity of people who come to Penthouse but he reads it. It has to be the hardest job but
We love him and back him 100%. His heart and soul is in it.He reads the crowd and fills the dance floor.BMFC night BDMFC night, Ibiza night or 80's disco. For every 1 negative comment I'll show you 20 that love him. Peace out and much love (*)(*)

Well after reading some of the comments about the club I’d like to say I felt perfectly safe amongst all the women that were there last Friday and in fact one even bought me a drink. On the other hand I would like to apologise for my wife who set about trying to explore the male visitors that evening and I hope they never felt threatened. As far as the music goes I missed my favourite ABBA song which brings out the dancing queen in me but I thought the music played was very apt for the crowd and appealed to all taste. All joking aside we had a fabulous first night and will be going many more times. Without being pounced on by the management ?? we did find it a bit difficult finding the club but once inside you have done a fantastic job and super friendly. All the people were very respectful

Prime is great! The dance floor isn’t just about the music, it’s about the people’s desire to dance and sometimes it’s packed like no one could imagine and sometimes less so.

At one of PP’s pre-grand opening events, there was an individual whose behaviour and demeanour was causing concern to both male and female guests, including one of my friends who raised her concerns with the management. Shortly afterwards the individual was asked to leave the club. I was impressed with how quickly and decisively the club acted and it reassured me that as a new venue, their stance on poor behaviour was very clear. "
Ooh the masked corner peeper ..management action and removal was under 5 minutes. Very impressive, rock solid, zero tolerance stance. Aa a single lady I find it a very safe club to attend |

M and I went for the first time last night. What a lovely club set up, it sadly was a bit quiet as I think everyone will be going to the party nights. But saying this the staff could not have been nicer to us and obviously enjoying working there they made the evening fun!
I felt comfortable going to the toilet leaving M alone knowing she was not going to be hassled and if she was the staff would be on it.
The people who were there were very nice friendly welcoming and non pushy. (Even the single men who get a bad rap)
We will definitely be back (would be tonight! But M has other plans!!)

"This new club in Dunstable looks very interesting , new owners ,fresh website ,loads of rooms and the comunication I have had with the owners has made me want to get there as soon as possible.
I believe this is the old arousal club.
Looking at the web site it looks like they will be catering for all tastes.
Penthouse playrooms will be on my to do list when everything is open and things are normal again.
So .. who else will be letting their hair down at this club in Dunstable ?
Any advice on access , local hotels , parking .
