The Gatehouse Club Garden Parties
Jump to: Newest in thread
I was delighted to note that The Gatehouse club is advertising Garden Parties from Wednesday 14th
The club states all COVID restrictions will be in place x
This is a wonderful and safe venue for its clientele x
I am sure it's reopening will be supported by many of its wondering patrons x
Sadly I'm unable to attend until Saturday 24th but if the sun is shining I may grace it's terrace!
I'd be very keen to hear from any of my TV friends and acquaintances who are able to attend this Wednesday or Weekend how it's set up and facilitated |

"Interested to know why it is that THE GATEHOUSE is being treated differently to every other club and is granted permission to reopen."
How is it different to a pub or bar opening for outdoor drinks? They're not open for sex, not open for people to go indoors etc. |

"maybe its a local council loophole thing and as it's only the outdoors? same thing as last year when they was allowed to open due to having a pasty classed as a substantial meal."
The Gatehouse didn't create that definition though. They have, I believe, done what was permitted by the various systems that have been in place. |

100% agree, they would’ve had to jump though every covid safety, local council risk assessment, government and H&S hoop there is to jump through.
Believe me when I say it’s a mammoth and expensive task so good on them for doing what is permitted.
We’ve been there and it’s tough.

Venue is not a pub.
So only rule is you have to do table service for any soft drinks or food.
and
Meeting friends and family outdoors (rule of 6)
You can meet up outdoors with friends and family you do not live with, either:
in a group of up to 6 from any number of households (children of all ages count towards the limit of 6)
in a group of any size from up to two households (each household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible)
currently any swinger venue can open for outdoor social if they dont have a SEV licence as any venue with one would be breaking the law as they cant trade and getting funding to stay closed. reason Partners in bury not opening as they dont eant to lose there SEV to open just for a SPA

I couldn’t make this week unfortunately but I’m hoping to get there next week
I don’t think people realise just how much the gatehouse does for the tv/cd community when it opens as soon as it can after lockdown
It might only be open for garden socials but it will be great to able to dress and socialise with everyone again
It’s been far too long x |

Been quite awhile since i've managed to get over the gatehouse mainly through distance really. Really friendly hosts though and always feel welcome when i visit. I am quite the shy type really but always put at ease with the atmosphere at gatehouse. Only issue i would have right now, is spacing and would have to take the chance of going over and risking not getting in. With what covid rules will be in place. |

Great that the club are able to provide a space for people to sit and chat..... no difference to sitting in the beer garden at Spoons (except there’s no bar ha!)
Those hell bent on making it hard for them might be good to attend and speak to some of the t girl community or cross dressing girls who can’t perhaps live that lifestyle at home and are now able to get out once a week and dig out their best frock and be themselves once in a while with their friends, becuase let’s face it everyone has had their ups and downs the last year. No different than you going to the pub or park with YOUR friends.
Enjoy!

I had a lovely afternoon and evening... it felt amazing to be able to dress for the first time in over a year.
Yes all the COVID restrictions are in place and have to be followed.. but you know what it was worth it just to be able to chat to other tgirls that have been in the same situation as myself unable to dress due to restrictions and family ties.
The gatehouse has become and will continue becoming a massive part of the transgender community and an even bigger part of my journey. X |

Been clean and enjoyable while Iv been there . Place been smartened up just before Covid . What this lacks in size , sure makes up in facilities to suite everyone’s needs , so muck variety , the atmosphere and friendliness bounces of the walls . Great place x |

"What indoor facilities are now available for use?"
After reading a club review yesterday, everything is open indoors. Greedy girl event is on. But unfortunately for some very strange reason the club review has disappeared. Check out the club website and see what's on. |

"Is this club still open now that bolton has been placed under essential travel only in and out of the town?"
Surely it is classed as essential travel to visit a club lol |

Before lock down I attended greedy girls, but due to "performance issues never joined in fully"
I had Cardiac surgery in Feb 2020 and now everything is in working order, I was wondering when these events will be starting back again |

"Don't know why anyone goes there I've been twice found it a dump dirty towels dirty toilets "
It has always been clean when I have attended. There has been a lot of refurbishments since lockdown. The toilet area has had new sinks taps etc. |

gentleman kinkster staying in Runcorn 19th/20th and noticing the gatehouse is not too far away and open for sat/sun pm socials. Has any one been in the last couple of weeks in the afternoon since indoor socialising has been allowed? |
