Someone said to me that Gems is close permanently ....
Apparently the land has been sold, does anyone know if this is true ?
If so then got to look for another laid back club in the southwest ! |

Damm ..... that’s a shame
Wonder if any other in the southwest will have that laidback, easy going clientele
If anyone know of any club please post here
Thanks in advance |

You could try Route69 in Weston-super-mare they are definitely planning on reopening as soon as they are allowed to! |

I just checked the planning website, planning permission has not been granted according to the site. I'm guessing that after a year of being closed they are looking at their options. Certainly having planning permission for new builds means that the club will close, but until either they sell the land or building starts it might reopen in June. I'm amazed that any business can survive for over 16 months with no income. We will be lucky if many clubs reopen and who knows when and what conditions will be placed on them. As the song said 'You don't know what you have got untill it's gone'. |

"If it’s true then it’s such a shame,
Was a nice little club and even though we have only been three times we will miss the friendly little crowd that we met whenever we were there, "
Totally agree with this xx |

Good News
I just spoke to the owners Gems is ready to reopen as soon as they are allowed to legally.
Yes the wedsite is down but as Ian said why keep it up when there's no possibility of being open.
He also said that the club has been aired and is all ready to open as soon as they can legally.
Great to hear some good news to end the week |

Wednesday afternoons were very special, it's incredible that it's been 56 weeks since all clubs closed.
I'm amazed any can reopen after such a long time.
Looking forward to meeting old and some new friends when they will be able to open again. |
