Sorry, no I haven't.

My guess would be that this would only assist 14.73% if the population though..

These industries have been decimated.

If true it may help.

But by the time they get to open fully, most people will have had the vaccine anyways.

It would work where people can wait in their cars whilst the results come thru. But otherwise you could have a group of people hanging around outside and mixing whilst waiting the twenty mins or however long they take for the results. Then if positive theres a chance they've passed it to the others waiting at the same time as them.

Precisely. I believe a combination of vaccination passports plus testing might be the way forward.

Are these the Lateral Flow Device tests you are thinking of? They take 5 minutes to complete but then 30 minutes for a result. They are very accurate to detect positive cases but can give less accurate negative results(60%). Not sure these will herald the reopening of clubs sadly. Mrs SW

Current Lateral Flow Tests take around 20-mins to develop a clear positive or negative result.

We have set up an NHS backed LFT test centre at work (as workplaces can do) and we have to arrive 30 minutes early to get the test amd wait for the results text.

This has already been discussed on another thread a few days ago in depth. There are many factors to consider, policies to put in place, logistics to sort out, approval from public health, training and disposal to consider...it's mammoth but do-able. However, we are still looking at the back end of this year before we can all open for parties at least

For me, it's a glimmer of hope and one tool in a box of tools to use when we eventually re-open.

However, yet again, it's all speculation at the moment and until we get answers to a lot of questions, it will remain speculation

My hubby is a professional musician and he was speaking with people in the know and they said it would not work as if the show was a popular one it would be a crazy queue plus many of the venues cannot cope with such a set up

Is this like the PCR "test" that can't test for covid19, but with enough amplification cycles will show a positive result for any DNA sequence? Where to I queue up?

They've not stopped throughout the whole pandemic but I know most people wouldn't break the rules and go.
