We're booked to go over Halloween, but thinking of cancelling.
Sure the place is great - but if it's mainly an older crowd 40's + think it's probably a bit pointless in paying that type of money if we're unlikely to meet anyone our age.
We're probably better off doing a all inc hotel, and go into the clubbing area to pull, least we can then take them back to our room for fun.
Cant take outsiders back to your Spice room. |

Can't help but think that if Spice were in Gran Canaria it would have more appeal. Lanzarote has never struck me as being a party place.
I met the owner of Spice last year in another place and told him just that - he didn't speak to me again
I have yet to read a review or speak to anyone who went and said that it was really busy, though many have said how "nice" the place is.
Can't see us going there somehow. |

To the original poster,
We are also going back for the 3rd time in September, so they must be doing something right. There are themed evenings (info on their web site) but it is optional. If the resort is quiet, they push all the tables together in the restaurant. Everybody talks to everybody, regardless of age or country of origin. There is a great entertainer who lays on saucy games during the day and in the evenings. Great disco...take your dancing shoes. Negatives are the cold swimming pool and some of the bathrooms need updating....but the beds, pillows, sunbeds are all very comfortable. Rooms are bright and clean. Staff fantastic. Food is good and drinks are plentiful.
To the guy who was worried about only older people attending. I believe Spooks week attracts a younger crowd. There are loads of reports on TA...maybe you could check out someone who attended Halloween last year and ask them what type of people were there. Any other questions...please direct to leighpeter@live.co.uk as I am not often on the forum. |

"We heard Halloween is going to be busy, as we have friends going over that weekend, but you never know until your there which we agree is problematical for such an expense for a trip."
Yes that was the reason why we thought of booking then.. but like all things..clubs..resorts etc its who you meet when you are there.
Only takes one nice couple you hit it off with for a great time.. but will that one couple be there to make it worth the effort and expense?
We have a while before we have to pay in full.. something to decide on another day.. continue looking for other holiday ideas in the mean time.
