"I hope that they have survived. I think the club will reopen when it can I can't imagine what 2020 has been like for them. I hope that 2021 brings them They have there own site now. "Yes New Years 2019!! best New Year’s Eve we have had, even with mr fainting from too long in the tub. Ahh I miss this place and everyone need that club sx(play) colour back in life. Fingers crossed it’s over by next new year " It was one hell of a New Years Eve! I couldn't believe the que to get in, it was like something from a film premiere. The night itself looking back was the most challenging night but reminds me why clubs like Play (Sx) do what they do, for the love of it! I sincerely hope All the Clubs survive this and my message to all other Clubs is hang in there guys & try and stay positive xxxx | |||

"Mr Nice has been going to club sx since it opened. Me (Miss Nice) only managed to go for the first time back in March 2020 just before lockdown. It's a lovely friendly club and everyone made me feel very welcome, it was nice to meet a few of Mr Nice's friends after hearing so much about them. "Cannot wait to see the improvements x" The clubs look has definitely changed that's for sure, its more down the Moulin Rouge & Greatest show man in style now. Most of the decorating has been done by myself & Dawn on a shoe string budget meaning we have had to be inventive at times. We still have lots to change and do but both very excited by all the changes xxx We will of course be keeping that same welcoming feel with everyone welcome and equal no matter who they are or there sexuality. Hopefully we will be able to open sooner than later but we will be ready & be back xxx | |||

"We miss everyone terribly
It's a very odd feeling when we are at the club decorating or cleaning. I don't know how even to describe it other than say it feels like a sadness for better times lost.
We are trying to keep positive and muggle our way to the other side of all this. Some days are worse than others, Today (Saturday) for instance is an odd day with feeling we should be at the club preparing everything like the buffet, cleaning from the Friday night and rushing to get everything ready for the big Saturday party nights we use to hold every week.
We fully understand why we are shut and fully support all our Key workers & NHS and everyone doing there bit for the country but at same time feel a great loss to our lives and fear it maybe a long time before we see those days again xxx | |||

I have got to admit we are very proud & excited about all the changes so far especially as they have all been done with literally no budget by myself & Dawn & some good freinds to the Club in work bubbles within Covid-19 rules. We want to thank everyone that has given & giving there time freely and worked or working so hard on the present changes to help the club survive & come back stronger than ever xxx The love and support for the club has really touched all of us involved in it. I've only been to Club Play once when it was SX for your last pandemonium event just before lockdown and loved it and it was more than worth the journey to get up to you and will be doing so again when you re-open, it has been my favorite night out to date.

So glad to hear this we loved your parties "We are waiting like everyone else to see what this road map out of lock down looks like on Monday 22nd from the Prime Minister. Hopefully it will have some date we can work towards reopening and under what conditions we can reopen or at least some indication of a date or something. Plus we are hoping for something more on this hint about using fast test's to allow clubs, cinema & theatres to reopen at full capacity but logistically think it would be a nightmare to administer but at this point we would do anything it takes to open again. So hopefully we be back holding parties again sooner rather than later obviously when safe to do so under government & public health England guidance & rules xxx | |||

"Club Play's reaction to PM's road map. Although we see the Prime Ministers statement as largely a positive signal with a date to work towards we feel people need to be realistic about things and stop asking us when we will be opening again and asking to get on the opening nights guestlist

"Club Play's reaction to PM's road map. Although we see the Prime Ministers statement as largely a positive signal with a date to work towards we feel people need to be realistic about things and stop asking us when we will be opening again and asking to get on the opening nights guestlist
We are of course flattened but until the majority of people's vaccines are done and socail distancing ends or there's a manageable vaccination & test certificate scheme we cant give a date for reopening. This will be determined by our council, pulic health England & the Government. It may or may not be in June, we just don't know as yet, it could be later or earlier.

We are coming up to a year closed now on St Patrick's day & never did we think for one moment we would be still closed an entire year on!

Xx" Until we know completely what conditions we will be re-opening under & when it's very hard to answer those questions but I will try x Lots of the popular hosts and popular events will be returning with some surprise new hosts & big events planned
As we have always been an big weekend events swingers club in Blackpool with big numbers attending every weekend we intend to reopen again with the same magical formula because it works for our club, but....
There are plan's for some monthly daytime events & opening Thursday evenings but again these will only ever happen with the right events & hosts in place to make them successful and popular events.
The Club has lots of ambitious ideas & plans for the future and has always been an innovative, all inclusive, forward thinking club that has grown organically with it's club members and will continue to lisen and adapt as we move forward.

"We had our first visit to the club, just before Lockdown kicked in. We had such an amazing night in spite of the fact that it wasn’t the busiest of nights. We were made to feel so welcome by all of the staff and we are desperately looking forward to returning. The first few weekends are going to be crazy fun. Exciting time’s ahead!" Vert exciting times indeed and looking like we are in for another swinging 20's again

"Hey all Just a couple of questions. Is Club Play a dress down club? ie strip off and into a towel at the beginning? Also and more importantly. The roadmap says no restrictions in England from 21st of June. Can we assume that _lub play will be opening up soon afterwards? I’m looking to visit some clubs up and down the U.K. this year and Club Play along with the Paradise Hotel are on my wish list Thanks" Club Play is set on two levels with the ground floor the more socail area with seating, pool table & dance floor, so we allow people to stay clothed if they want in that area. After a full tour if people wish to go upstairs they have to dress down in underwear or towels we provide free. This works for us with new members that have never attended our or in some cases a club before to feel comfortable. Lots dress down straight away and some others not but by 10 - 11pm we find most people have dressed down or thinking about it to go upstairs. If we can legally & Safely open after 21st June we will be ready to open our doors. We obviously can't asume the date the government given of 21st June as its only the earlist possible date and lots can change between now and then. Only today I was reading if the European countries impose an export ban on the vacancie it will set everything back until August. For our club we will not be announcing a date to reopen until we are a positive, or as definite as we can be the date for reopening is realistic and possible to achieve. | |||
