Hi all,
We've found our recent clubs visits a little hard. We want to support the clubs during the restrictions, as we love the atmosphere during normal times.
We're curious how best to use them at the moment.
We've gone a couple of times, having said hi to people on here, thinking we could just say hello during the evening and see if the conversation flowed. Each time we've been, people are in groups and deep in conversation, so we don't want to interrupt, and as it's table service, is hard to just 'bump into people' at the bar etc.
Truthfully, we're rubbish at the social side anyway, so tips and advice are welcome!

It’s difficult, because the regulations state that in a pub or restaurant, you can’t interact with other tables, otherwise you’d just have groups of friends booking a bunch of tables & still going out in a large group.
So technically, even if you sit at a table next to your oldest friend, you’re not meant to interact.
Unfortunately, the clubs that are open for socials are doing so as a licensed premises - and they have to abide by the same rules as a standard pub.
Presumably, the customers in their are doing their best to ensure they stick to the rules to avoid causing issues for the club.
Socials are not really socials currently because of the tighter rules. |

"There ain't clubs open or are there a few ? if you could update me....

One or two A who have a licensed bar have been open to trade as a bar only, Xtasia being one. Not sure about the others as there have been a variety of local lockdowns that may have affected them |
