I really want to go to a club, but I don’t really have any idea what’s “local” I’m in Ipswich and the most local club I know of is Pleasures, which is doable, but wondering if there’s anything closer to me? What sort of ticket price would I be looking at, and generally how do the evenings go? Is there anything o should be aware of.

You should be aware that hardly any clubs are open, and those that are ,are operating like a pub or social venue.
No sex or intimacy allowed. |

One to put on your list would be The Annex at kings Lynn (not that far from Ipswich). Although it's closed at mo for obvious reasons, its a fantastic friendly place and well worth the effort to get there |

Oh that’s not too far at all, I’ll definitely bear it in mind, hopefully this madness won’t be going on too much longer and we can all get back to having plenty of fun!! I won’t be holding my breathe though lol |

Been to about half the clubs in the uk pre and post covid. You really have to get along and experience it yourself , clubs, nights and experiences varies hugely , ignore most everything you read, most is from “experts” who have never been and don't have a clue or a very personal opinion. Often the night depends on what you make it and / or who else is around |
