Just another thumbs up to the team at VA/Lux - had an amazing chilled out day lounging in the sun, lovely vibe, great drinks - the Hurricane cocktail is definitely recommended as it’s delicious!

Food available until 2.30 from the food van like jacket potatoes, burgers and panini. After this we have sandwiches and baps available so please don’t bring your own. We have a fully licensed bar throughout the day.
We do open part of the club inside from 9pm to 2.30am Friday and Saturday nights, no inside hotub but the external spa pool is open and lounge area.
This has all been very well revived xx |

We made our first visit yesterday, 24 July, and it will not be our last by a long way.
We had a bloody brilliantly day.
It’s clear the potential here is massive. It’s obvious there is more being/going to be done, but what is in place so far is top notch.
Friendly, friendly, friendly. First class service with a gorgeous smile and a totally relaxing vibe. We loved it.
If you’re a eurekas or old kestrels person you won’t find a huge pool. You’ll find a decent sized spa pool which, during Covid times, isn’t going to hold loads of people. But it’s lovely and situated right in the middle of a decked area.
Decking area has built in beds all around, with very colourful mattresses.
The whole place is tastefully done. It’s incredibly well managed and social distancing is easily achieved.
We guess the best compliment is this. We intended to go for a few hours to check it out, and see if it would work as a place to meet up with some long term fab friends. We ended up staying 6 hours.
We will be back very soon. Even if there aren’t any ponies around. Lol |

The Vanilla Alternative's socially distanced Festival of Fun will be taking place so the normal LUX Lounge will be closed on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th (but obviously open to Festival visitors). It's not a strictly naturist resort, it's only "clothing optional" venue. Which means that you'll have a whole range of people. Some will be naked and just sunbathing, some will be naked or partly naked and playing, some will be in towels or underwear and either playing, watching or just sunbathing, and there will be those fully dressed, too.
In strictly naturist resort, sexual activity is only permitted in private as you don't go there for sex. |

Whilst LUX Lounge is open (12.00 to 8.30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) we ask that visitors restrict any play (just in your 'bubble' of course), to the club playroom. |

Very impressed with the quality of the setup - clean, modern and very comfortable - and an exceptionally welcoming management team who really could not have done more to make us feel comfortable - we have been visiting VA for almost a decade now and really excited with the direction of travel

People also don’t socially distance in the supermarket any more. And there are a lot more people in supermarkets up and down the country every minute of the day, than there will be at this festival the entire weekend.
By the way, currently not planning to be at the festival, as hopefully we will be in holiday.
But Perspective is needed here. According to the government in just a few weeks time it’s perfectly fine for school children to be in a “bubble” of 200 people.
This festival isn’t going to cause a second wave, or even be a relevant part of it if one does happen. Having also visited lux lounge I’d say there is a strong possibility a lot of people would respect the rules. Some won’t, but that’s always the way. |

There is a Travelodge at BlackCat roundabout (junc of A1 and A428) or a couple of Travel Inns a bit further up on the edge of StNeots

"We made our first visit yesterday, 24 July, and it will not be our last by a long way.
We had a bloody brilliantly day.
It’s clear the potential here is massive. It’s obvious there is more being/going to be done, but what is in place so far is top notch.
Friendly, friendly, friendly. First class service with a gorgeous smile and a totally relaxing vibe. We loved it.
If you’re a eurekas or old kestrels person you won’t find a huge pool. You’ll find a decent sized spa pool which, during Covid times, isn’t going to hold loads of people. But it’s lovely and situated right in the middle of a decked area.
Decking area has built in beds all around, with very colourful mattresses.
The whole place is tastefully done. It’s incredibly well managed and social distancing is easily achieved.
We guess the best compliment is this. We intended to go for a few hours to check it out, and see if it would work as a place to meet up with some long term fab friends. We ended up staying 6 hours.
We will be back very soon. Even if there aren’t any ponies around. Lol "

We went when they first opened have to say it was very well organised lots of sanitizer track and trace details and temperature checks table service couldn't fault the staff we are going back very soon just remember to take your own towels xx |

We went yesterday and were a bit apprehensive about distancing etc but we needn't have worried. There is so much space, we were able to position ourselves out on the field some distance away from anyone else.
The staff were lovely and kept us watered and fed.
Whilst we stayed overnight in the field in our camper we decided not to venture inside during the evening so can't comment on how busy and close things got.
The guys sitting outside chatting and laughing missed a trick though. If they had peered through the gloom, they would have seen us enjoying the warm evening together
Thoroughly recommend The Lux Lounge and hope to be back again soon. |

We wrote that original message/review, I couldn’t be bothered to log in to our couples profile to reply lol.
We were back on Friday to enjoy the glorious sunshine.
It was busier this time but still worked extremely well.
The pool was busier for sure. But people were still sensible and we have no concerns going again.
Our only slight negative is the toilets in the portacabin. To be clear these aren’t bad at all. But toilets and showers in such a structure are never going to be as good as indoor facilities.
Lux Lounge has instantly become a firm favourite.
I’m going Saturday, sadly without my partner. If a second lockdown doesn’t kick in we are meeting old friends there on 15th and 16th.
Personally we think the best compliment you can pay a venue is to be a repeat visitor/regular. By the end of August we will have visited 4 times. Not been anywhere that frequently since the old kestrels closed. |

Had the best time at Lux and VA last night! Getting some much needed sun and catching up with old friends. First time in months I’ve felt some sort of normality! Just dressing up and having a drink I feel so much better! Well done to Kim, Jules, Brian and the team for what you’ve achieved. I’ll be back.. probs next week.. and most weekends haha! Xx |

I was there Friday and retirned on Saturday...had a great time and what an amazing set up outside! We chilled all night around that hot tub! The staff and owners work really hard to stick to the covid 19 rules and are doing an amazing job! Def going back for the festival in a few weeks |

Went with some friends as a mostly female group so went to sunbathe and socialise only.
The place looked great - actually felt like I was on holiday which I think was the intention. Everyone was, as usual in the swinging world, really friendly but were careful to maintain a safe distance.
The drinks and food were reasonably priced - and the staff were totally on the ball at all times!
If you live locally enough to go regularly then I envy you - get going!
Hope to see you all again at the bank holiday weekend - when two friends and I are celebrating our joint birthdays.
Please order the sun again.
