I think the next lockdown review is the 25th of June, maybe there will be more information about what and when things can reopen following that.

I'm have no idea if we have to wait till we finally reach stage 1 for it be safe for clubs to open, or if there is a chance they could be someway they could open safely when we get to stage 2.

Cant people who attend clubs just take a couple signs with them and tell the authorities the are protesting or something. We may have to break some shit too but it's fine the clubs can open up to hundreds at a time but it's all good they will just turn a blind eye incase they offend someone

I think the next government review is 29th June when hopefully restaurants , pubs and clubs get to hear if they can reopen and if social distancing will be reduced from 2 metres to 1 metre. With regards to adult clubs , leisure centres , spas I am guessing they will be part of that review.Again I am guessing but I think adult clubs could open in September. When the adult clubs open I guess we all have a decision to make.Do we feel comfortable going to a club and perhaps not playing , do we go to a club and play straight away if someone takes our fancy ,will we even go to clubs. There is no right or wrong it all boils down to what we are comfortable with.

I think a few people are missing something. Swinging clubs aren't somewhere where you socially distance from people and because of that I dont see swinging clubs opening before Mass gatherings are again allowed and social distancing is a thing of the past. Even if the rule is cut to 1m really cant see them opening until like I say social distancing is no longer needed

You got one part right clubs can't open as a swingers club but some have licenced bars that can be opened as a regular bar sticking to the government guidelines

They would be a bar people in the lifestyle can go meet up with old friends and chat openly unlike in a regular pub

Owners would enforce lock down rules as any other rule is enforced

Some clubs could lock off play areas so strictly only socials within guidelines

Also hotels can now open theres a few swingers hotels around that rent rooms out to regular public weekdays and only get swingers book in weekends few in Blackpool for sure

You was already told on another thread by a club owner they already have a licence they don't need to apply for one

You really need to read

A council official could visit anytime and clubs know this so rules wouldn't be broken

You have commented negatively on every club post

If you really think the 2m rule is here to stay I really don't know why ur on here

You said on another forum swingers

could meet at their local pub n chat

Do you really think people want to discuss their swapping in a pub where someone may know them and overhear what is being said

Or do you think couples will travel miles to meet like minded couples in a regular bar where conversations still might be heard

When there is a local club offering drinking space with other people in the lifestyle

Within government guidlines

Also have you heard hotels can now open did you know there are a few swinging friendly hotels around such as Blackpool shock I know

They haven't

Clubs that can't stick to guidelines can't open so opening as a swingers club is a no no for yet

And can anyone really see Boris standing up and saying from the 10th of July swingers clubs can open for fun

Same as councils they will only send letters out offering government guidelines to all licenced premises any that can't impliment the guidelines will have to stay shut

But a licenced bar can open as a bar as long as guidence is adhered to

The pub was mentioned kind of tounge n cheek, oh never mind.

Yes I do know about swingers hotels in Blackpool. I don't think you yourself realise hotels will now be under strict guidelines, it is not just a matter of booking in and out as used to, rooms sanitised procedure and the same criteria will be used for them as in swingers clubs when licensing is given. You mention clubs already have a licence, I think these will be null and void as are ones at present for gyms, nightclubs and spas. They are not allowed to open under their old licence until the government and the proper licencing inspectorate deems them fit..

No licence is null and void they where on hold until social distancing is reduced

Every pub that has a licence before this won't have to re apply

There licence will be valid and will only be revoked if they don't stick to the guidlines issued by the council

So if a club can meet all guidelines and open purely as a social club then they will be fine to to so

I agree a few may feel that they may not cover overheads and feel it's not worth opening but others will go for it

We have no intention of meeting other people for play meets until we feel its safer to do so

But if our local clubs opened as social only bars we would happily attend

We can meet friends who we have known in the scene who we haven't seen throughout lock down or chat to others freely without worry of being overheard by a neighbour in our local

And if our few quid spent behind the bar helps keep a club open then it's a win win situation all round

Hotels will be the hardest for councils to control as nothing stops 2 couples having separate rooms and meeting up to play

Clubs are easier to enforce

Clubs are kept alive by the membership and admission money the single guys pay.

"

No sex = no men = no income.

This is untrue, couples make up a lot of a clubs income.

All the clubs I've been to, here and abroad, would not exist without the takings from single men.

And you've asked every club owner?

What about Fata Morgana, for example, which is couples only ?

I said the clubs I've been to.

And clearly, I haven't been to a couples only club as a single male.

Yet couples nights are generally very busy in most clubs.

. On Saturday at OP4F in London is couples only however they allow 5 single select guys to come along as long as they apply to attend on the Saturday and are selected to attend at midnight. On the occasions that I have attended Saturday nights are busy.

Couples only nights are always busier

More and more couples are looking to both play and avoid single guy nights

We have visited many clubs around the UK and enjoy couples only nights way more you don't get the cock wombles following you around hoping to get a look at what's going on

I honestly cannot see how any sex club will be able to open until social distancing has ended. Think about toilets, changing rooms, showers, sauna, how are these going to be kept constantly sanitised. How would the one metre rule, and use of the rooms etc. be policed?

Clubs are opening as regular pubs for people in the lifestyle

No play allowed and within council guidence restrictions in place

Clubs that open will already of had measures in place and will of gotten council permission

Believe it or not they are not sex clubs they are places people from the swing lifestyle go to socialise aswell as play

If play is off the menu many will still go to socialise with others from the scene

As for a load of covid cases being caused by them with the restrictions they have had to adhere to they won't be no more risky than a regular pub

The principal issue is that pups make their profits from the sale of alcohol - and most swinging clubs don’t have a license to sell alcohol.

Realistically - how much will people pay to go into a swingers club where no swinging is allowed?

I don’t have the answer btw - I’m just pondering!

I’d love to see swinging clubs open soon - but sadly doubt they will! Xx

Not many people will pay an entrance fee to go and sit in a 'pub' and that's all they will become. Take away the lure and excitement of something that may happen, take this away and that's all they become a 'pub' and an expensive one.

Like many have said they are going to be open as a regular pub where like minded people can meet have a drink and a chat

Play areas will be locked off and strict guidence will be adhered to

All government rules will be strictly stuck to

So in short clubs are opening 4th July but just for socialising

I think September as well. Localised restrictions in areas of the UK where there is spikes but where there isn't no restrictions.

This isn't and has never been about saving lives. Only having increased capacity to protect (and not overwhelm) health care systems. The abolishment of the daily press conference's is to get us all to stop talking and thinking about it.

Yep. Food bill's could be going up by as much as 15%. Also how do you think pubs will pay for all the extra staff. £7 a pint in most places by years end. All this economic inactivity needs paying for. We are the ones who will be expected to foot the bill.

Negativity again

Why

The so named clubs that are reopening have licenced bars or hotels attached to them

From what I've seen there's a lot of positive response from people looking forward to attending even if it means no play

Can't see why anyone finds it so hard to understand swinging is not just about sex it's the social part of it too

Plenty are looking forward to a drink and a catch up with friends on the scene and to meet new people for when restrictions are gone

Every club post that's come up you have posted a negative response

And this time your wrong clubs are opening people will visit even if no sexual activity can take place

The lifestyle is not about sex only

Haven't heard of clubs pricing from many but I'm sure they will be happy with what they can make on a bar

Le Boudoir's opening night is £70 per couple

£70 ffs people must be desperate if they are willing to pay that!

Yeh, and all that for a ‘social only’"

. What you have to remember about Le Boudior is it’s in London and generally speaking London clubs are more expensive than clubs outside of London. Also If I remember correctly they moved premises to a bigger more luxurious club not too far from the old club. Also Le Boudior reviews on the Fabs club reviews pages were mostly fabulous they do have a strong loyal members following so when I take all that into account me personally it doesn’t surprise me too much that couples are willing to pay £70 entrance fee.

I live in London, so I'm aware of the club entry fees.

Some people will pay anything, but I won't spend £70 for a 'social only'.

There are many other ways I can socialise at a fraction of that amount.

. I believe the £70 is a couple entrance fee for Le Boudior on a Saturday night. So yes you could with a partner spend less than £70 by going to a pub , Turkish Restaurant or Nando’s and having a good social night out. However if you went to Le Boudior with your partner and paid the £70 entrance fee you would be meeting like minded couples , making a connection and perhaps when it is deemed safe you maybe able to organise some adult fun. I don’t think there is a right or wrong in this situation it’s about personal preference and doing what is right for yourself.

They probably have higher running costs than your local club. For some £70 would seem reasonable for others it may not. But if you feel its too much here's the thing you don't have to go

Yeah - but what’ll really happen? Couples who know each other or like the look of each other will book the same hotel and play there!

I’m condemning no-one. After 3 months I’m sure most of us are doing our own personal risk assessment. If I was young, healthy and not overweight (Ie very likely to have only mild symptoms of covid) with a partner in the same boat - after nearly 4 months of this I’d probably do the same!

And that, I imagine, is why they’re paying the 70 quid! X

No I don't feel so, and half the time I've been to clubs I don't even have sex nor expect it.

But other than having sex there are other thing I enjoy while in a club; like watching people play in the open play areas, use the indoor cinema if the club has one, and use other facilities too.

I won't pay £70 to attend for just 'social only'

"Definition wise, clubs can fully open when social distancing ends.

Anyone feel they have a crystal ball to know when that’s going to be?

2022?

September 2020 more likely, check everywhere is that is already allowed to open or will be by July 4th.

Social distancing is going to end completely in just over 2 months?! Get real!

So all the plans with plastic, tables etc in pubs and restaurants will all be gone in 2 months?! Football matches will have full crowds in 2 months ?! Gigs will be back etc? Are you on this planet . You can’t be serious! So the virus is going away and so is social distancing in September?!

The virus is not going anywhere, but you all have to remember the government has already promised all schools to return by September. That doesn't work if social distancing how it is now is still in place. How many Billions is the entertainment industry worth.

Now we have proven we can deal with this without overloading health care systems it will become increasingly about money. What I will say though is to keep your eyes on Houston Texas. Its ICU beds are currently at 98% capacity.

Agree distancing rules will start to ease

Especially when schools return and they open other business's

Not to mention when airports open there are loads of people still looking forward to their summer holidays

Can't keep cancelling flights insurance companies will start claiming from the government

Wait till next April's tax year and every working persons tax allowance is cut so the money can be paid back

"Couples only nights are always busier

More and more couples are looking to both play and avoid single guy nights

We have visited many clubs around the UK and enjoy couples only nights way more you don't get the cock wombles following you around hoping to get a look at what's going on"

Yes but they can’t exist solely on the odd couples night however busy that may be

They need the income from single men

If they could exist on couples only then most nights would be couples only

Most clubs have a couples only night and a night for inclusion of single guys

And whilst single guys pay more entrance many don't drink for obvious reasons add that to the fact a lot of couples are put off going to single guy nights unless it's maybe a bmfc night

Couples only nights win hands down OK entrance is slightly less but normally couples get s hotel close so both parties can have a drink so what's lost on entrance fees mors than makes up at the bar not to mention more couples attending couples only nights

Most clubs have weekly couples nights that most likely bring in more money than any other night apart from event nights.

It can absolutely survive couples only. From a selfish perspective I just hope it's not the way it goes. Not all single men are pushy and overbearing.

Yes, I will - just as the 2nd wave is hitting! But if there will be zero social distancing in 2 months, why the plastic etc? Why don't you answer the questions - will full capacity sport be back in 2 months, gigs, theatre etc ?!

I just think it's a really well run club.

I 100% accept that people can have an opinion. But I also think that people that make mindless, often petty, comments should get called out.

I know what's coming.. The wagons will circle and it will be a hate campaign against me now.

There has been no hate campaign against you as far as i can see. nobody has made assumptions about you as a person

but unfortunatly you have felt the need to do that to others so that needs calling out to.

I certainly will not be attending any club until the situation is much more under control. Deaths in the teens, cases in the low hundreds? And/ or much more known about treatment. And/ or a vaccine.

And I personally think opening is unwise, and passing judgement on safety is perfectly correct to do.
