Would u fancy jumping in a hot tub with 10 other people at the moment and no covid vaccine?! Only way clubs could open would be for mutual masterbation at 2 metres apart while everyone wearing masks!

Absolutely not. Clubs will be the bottom of the pile when it comes to opening. When nightclubs are allowed to open with NO social distancing in place then there is a chance sex clubs will open. It's going to be a while yet. Up close and personal is off the agenda for the foreseeable future.

4th July would be bloody amazing but we doubt it unless rates fall off a cliff — don’t really want to have to treat our private parts with hand sanitizer after a play — that’s gonna sting lol xx

I think they are looking at opening as something else initially to bring in revenue.

Sorry if this has already been suggested, and sorry if this is a simplistic suggestion, but I was wondering to what extent Clubs could invest in those 'temperature gun' thingies, or normal in-the-ear ones, and thus allow them to open again. Formal social distancing is not going to happen in such a place, and, other than obligatory showers when one arrives, they're unlikely to force us to use hand gel. I appreciate there may be pre-symptomatic contagion and asymptomatic 'silent spreaders', but at least a temperature check would be non-invasive and allow the closer socialising and the potential intimacy later.

Swinging clubs will not be opening for swinging and fetish parties until social distancing is dropped altogether. Some of our large clubs may be able to open as pubs for social events if they have an alcohol licence, but this is only possible for a few.

Most of us will have to hang tight.

Once pubs can open inside with distancing, we will be taking private hire bookings for couples, couples who live apart and have formed a support bubble and poly families who live together or have formed a support bubble. We will also be resuming our popular photo shoots. Apart from that, we are closed for mass gatherings and parties until there is no social distancing

Most clubs would be more sterile than half of the bars and restaurants out there...lets face it disinfectant/sanatiser and disposable tissues of one sort or another is available in most play rooms same as bins for rubbish. Most have a high standard of cleaning involving loads of disinfectant far better than many food or beverage outlets..Jacuzzis with the amount of chlorine or alternatives used are sterile and the levels are often topped up during the evening maintaining hygiene levels is paramount in all good clubs..or there would be high levels of STI's transmitted let alone coronovirus

As Townhouse said, clubs with an alcohol license should be allowed to open when pubs do as long as they abide by any rules or stipulations applied by the government. The problem is social distancing, I'm not convinced that all local licencing authorities are going to believe a sex club will abide by social distancing rules and with this in mind there may well be issues in certain areas. Of course some authorities may use this whole mess as an excuse to do away with clubs they no longer wish to see in there area. Not all local authorities are as open minded as others.

Our council would trust us and I wouldn't risk our licence by allowing people to play on a social. Most clubs licensed for alcohol just simply couldn't afford to open as a bar only with reduced capacity. The sums just don't work. Simple as that.

My local pub is small with snugs and narrow corridors. They also cannot open with any social distancing. Nightclubs can't open with social distancing and get the turnover needed to stay solvent. It's more financially viable to open only when you can get the capacity through the door rather than struggle with low numbers and go further into the red.

So hires for couples and poly families are on the cards for us when pubs open but large party gatherings are out of the question.

It's not a matter of choice. While social distancing is in place they have to be able to enforce it to be allowed to open. That means lower numbers attending, So at best they could hold socials only. Also add that currently you are only allowed contact with 1 other "bubble"

I agree with you, most clubs won't make enough money to make it profitable all the time social distancing is in place but that doesn't mean they can't.

Perfect response from Townhouse.

Any facility that is open and opening up again are doing so with strict socially distancing guidelines in place.

Swinging is far from a socially distancing activity so until there are no cases of covid or social distancing is scrapped sadly clubs will have to remain closed.

It's a very sad financial situation for club owners when most have worked so hard to provide an excellent club and let's all keep fingers crossed they all reopen

I can't see bghs opening before anyone else. Social distancing would not be at all practical on the spa and managing it would be a nightmare. You'd only get one person in any part of the spa ie the steam rooms or pools at any one time.

The only way I can see clubs opening in the future is if you could take a test on the door and get the results within minutes, like a pregnancy test. Then it would work fine. They have been talking about such a test for a while, so here's hoping.

We do yes, but not all clubs do as it's down to each local authority. However, after a barrister questioned the need for a swingers club to hold an SEV licence, our council has not asked uscto renew it. I don't think any clubs will need it now.

I suspect there will be a grey area and clubs will have to be careful. A good sense of how agreeable (or not) the local authorities are will probably be a driving force in the decision making. I think regardless of the science (which I think is not that important to the government) clubs also face the extra problem of discrimative attitudes. With all the hygiene measures in world we will always been seen as dirty (and a possible scapegoat/hate icon if the R-rate increases). So every other venue, public transport and activity will probably be ok regardless of hygiene standards before the most hygienic of clubs are.

It's not going to be that date but it's anyone’s guess when it will be. If they operate a pub only, they could possibly open that at a similar date to other bars and clubs. Local authorities will be paying particular attention to special environments, I'm fairly certain.

Chams in Birmingham although popular, does not sell alcohol and is a compact venue with narrow stairs and passageways. Can see the viability of managing distancing and trying to be profitable a difficulty sadly.shame as a club we liked when we did go.

"Most clubs would be more sterile than half of the bars and restaurants out there...lets face it disinfectant/sanatiser and disposable tissues of one sort or another is available in most play rooms same as bins for rubbish.

All of that aside, clubs CANNOT open for swinging and fetish parties until there is no social distancing. See my post above xxDo you think clubs might open as a club only, think a lot would just like to meet and socialise till things get back to normal.

Would be very interested in a private hire for a couple can you message us some details also would you consider allowing some voyeurs in? Limited of course."

I'll PM you x

I think the clubs should potentily look to set up a patreon profile and look for the swing community to help keep them afloat during this crisis.

"Do you think clubs will open 4 July same as pubs?"

As a club owner & based on what I “think” I know, perhaps maybe IF. A club may open on the 4th. However RISK assessment, financially viability & the customer experience suggest late 2020. The reality is - as club owners (hang on by our finger nails) we simply don’t know what we don’t know. Crystal balls required lol sorry for that xx B

Open already in Poland. Restrictions in place. I have already taken bookings for the forthcoming months, having said that we have as many people apprehensive about attending.

Poland -

confirmed cases per 1 million population 798

Deaths per 1 million population 34

UK

Confirmed cases per 1 million population 4393

Deaths per 1 million population 618

Poland are in a much better position to relax measures than the UK xxx

Just want to give some respect to the Townhouse. They've been on the forums regularly since lockdown started, keeping people informed on the club side of things; and have managed to keep it classy and respectful in the face of some arsey comments.

We are long overdue our first visit there, and will definitely be attending when the club does re-open

Ahhhh thanks guys! There have been times when I have had to step away from the forums as the negativity hasn't been helpful. We don't need to be continuously told how bad the situation is....we're living it! lol

But the pills don't stop the spread. They aid recovery in 35% of ventilated cases. Which leaves 65% dead.

With theatres saying that it's unlikely they can open again this year, swingers clubs are even less likely.

I think we all need to listen to the club owners here, they're the ones with the knowledge of what's going on and what has to happen before they can open.

BBC news says 19 out of 20 responded to the drug and were able to breath without ventilator

To be fair more people of had it and not showed symptoms so if the drug helps the ones who get severe symptoms then it's got to be good news

No. The BBC reported that 19 out of 20 with coronavirus recover without going to hospital.

This drug has been given to people in hospital and may have cut deaths of those who needed mechanical ventilation by one fifth.

It's good, it's a treatment that helps desperately ill people... But it's not going to get us into swinging clubs. It's not the magic bullet and people are over egging it's importance.

Surely anything that helps the ones who get the virus severely is good news even saving 1 life is a breakthrough

People who get it mild don't need medication so won't help them but a life's a life
