 , the first few weekends after opening are going to be amazing. The best nights at Chams are always the ones where people relax completely and play just happens everywhere. After a few months off, it’s going to be a magic place to be. | |||

" Looking at your other posts on other threads (all of which seem to relate to COVID topics), it is a struggle to find anything but sarcasm or doom-saying. Yes you are entitled to an opinion, but it also comes across as though you consider anybody who does not subscribe to your opinion to be less than capable of being able to make an informed decision. Swingers in the main are USUALLY (not always) more aware of potential health risks than the MAJORITY of the non-swinging general populace. Even without COVID there are considerations for STI’s (even with safe play - condoms aren’t 100% safe), transmittable infections such as Hep, and even things like the common cold and flu. The fact is that unless everybody in the world self-isolates TOTALLY, then there is always a chance of being exposed to viruses, bacteria or toxins - be that self-administered I.e. smokers, or by exposure/infection from somebody else , or even exposure by proxy (materials on surfaces etc). Yes - COVID IS brutal and it’s probably fair to say that most of the world underestimated it. As the days/weeks/months go on then more will probably be discovered about it, which hopefully lead to a vaccine. However, bear in mind there is a flu vaccine available every year, and even that is not 100% effective and there are fatalities. So it leaves a potential choice between living, or existing. As a person who has been totally isolated for 14 weeks now because I am shielding, I am in need of contact with people - not least with my partner and members of my family. And when I do see my partner and my family - I’ll be hugging them, kissing them , and in the case of my partner, probably having sex with her. You could argue that even those activities have a level of risk attached to them - but if all we do is exist, then we do not live. Everything we do in life has an element of risk attached to it. In the meantime you are of course, as you rightly mentioned, entitled to your opinion. But remember that somebody once said that opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one. And in my experience, some are bigger than others

" Have a discussion but people making predictions that clubs will reopen as swinging(not social) clubs in a couple of months to me smacks of recklessness and a complete lack of understanding of what’s really going on out there by some people. No I have no clue about it’s transmission but we all know is how it quickly spread in March /April and still is spreading, albeit at a much lower rate and how contagious it is so large groups of people(kidding themselves that the virus has gone away) having sex in sweaty non ventilated tiny areas is a pretty good bet ! So having been to many clubs on many occasions I’ll wait til it’s safe to go back - if that’s 1/2 years - so be it. Anyone wants to risk it - so be it . | |||

Presumably they don't have a license for a bar so can't open for socials, as some other clubs have with strictly no play.A club owner on another thread is saying that PHE are currently advising that saunas, jacuzzis , clubs etc won't be opening in 2020 and that their club won't reopen until it is safe to do so - when there is no longer social distancing . Again? Really? Why not just allow us to discuss chams opening without you telling us repeatedly that it won't happen? There you have it in the post above - "swingers will find a way"! Indeed - a way to spread the disease! Actually, this is a forum where we discuss things. I'm perfectly entitled to my view as I respect yours. In the meantime we have 1000 people a week dying, infections increasing so I applaud those club owners who, despite huge financial implications, will not open their doors until it is safe to do so, which probably won't be this year. You may not agree with that but I think the responsibility that they are showing is a shining example. If clubs are opening safely for socials - great , otherwise what's the rush to compromise our and loved ones health? Looking at your other posts on other threads (all of which seem to relate to COVID topics), it is a struggle to find anything but sarcasm or doom-saying. Yes you are entitled to an opinion, but it also comes across as though you consider anybody who does not subscribe to your opinion to be less than capable of being able to make an informed decision. Swingers in the main are USUALLY (not always) more aware of potential health risks than the MAJORITY of the non-swinging general populace. Even without COVID there are considerations for STI’s (even with safe play - condoms aren’t 100% safe), transmittable infections such as Hep, and even things like the common cold and flu. The fact is that unless everybody in the world self-isolates TOTALLY, then there is always a chance of being exposed to viruses, bacteria or toxins - be that self-administered I.e. smokers, or by exposure/infection from somebody else , or even exposure by proxy (materials on surfaces etc). Yes - COVID IS brutal and it’s probably fair to say that most of the world underestimated it. As the days/weeks/months go on then more will probably be discovered about it, which hopefully lead to a vaccine. However, bear in mind there is a flu vaccine available every year, and even that is not 100% effective and there are fatalities. So it leaves a potential choice between living, or existing. As a person who has been totally isolated for 14 weeks now because I am shielding, I am in need of contact with people - not least with my partner and members of my family. And when I do see my partner and my family - I’ll be hugging them, kissing them , and in the case of my partner, probably having sex with her. You could argue that even those activities have a level of risk attached to them - but if all we do is exist, then we do not live. Everything we do in life has an element of risk attached to it.
