On the Friday nights when Flirts becomes Couples and Single Females only is it still a 9pm cut off then everyone goes into main club ?" The entrance is well protected, with a corridor and 2 doors, so no blast but also put in new heaters in that back room to protect from that. The 9pm cut off would vanish...thinking of allowing folks to make up their own minds on time to move into main club, or stay on the Flirts side. | |||

We are usually the ones that sit at home Fridays because we don’t want the mix with single chaps (no offence single chaps)
And funny enough we have chatted about that area and the potential it had.
Can’t wait to see how this works!
Only little thing I could see as a problem is the music. Dipping the sound in the main club itself might be cause problems as people do go to dance and enjoy as much as the other stuff. No doubt this is a minor problem and will be worked around.

"i think there is a huge difference between having a "couples only play area" and a couples only "social area".... play rooms i get, if you want a bit a space and you are looking for specific things then cool and have at it! but social areas i dont get.... if a social area you are just going to be social anyway, why would you feel the need to segregate? after all... you are just talking to people....... if thing you try to encourage in any social situation is to mingle... i think it sends out the wrong sign that to me is overthinking, and segregating for sake that you can... after all if people were that fixated then surely they would never go on a night single guys are allowed in anyway you open a pandora's box... next up? couples only smoking area? i sure some people will rally and circle the wagons.... but i hope it is taken in the spirit of conversation" That was half the problem with the previous thread, a lot was taken out of context, which is why we felt we needed our own thread with a full explanation. What was a social area, the chill lounge, is now a large play/social area with 4 double beds, plus playrooms off it...so far more than a social area now. I'd agree with you about not segregating a social space, but now its a serious play space as well, so easily done. Hope that answers. | |||

As said before, I think opening in the daytime is an inspired idea and the changes to Saturdays could work out very well for the Midlands scene (provided that the club spaces don't simply become a holding pen for blokes!). I am very familiar with the club and its layout so I'm not trying to start an argument or make criticisms. However based on the existing chillout lounge and Flirts becoming couples only on Fridays it sounds as if guys will have less space available than currently (at present it is only the couples only room which is off limits). Could I also ask if this would also apply on very busy events such as FFFF? | |||

From a social point of view it will hopefully allow single guys to know which couples are interested in playing with them. Out of interest have you put any fans in the play rooms? It's boiling in summer! Tempting date but booked a room at Premier Inn in late May.

"Haven't been to Xstasia for a long time. In fact I remember the walk of shame all too well as a single fem, so flirts was an excellent addition. I remember feeling slightly over whelmed at the size of the club so the idea to make different areas really appeals, but the draw for us would be the daytime opening. We love well run events such as Milf Mon at Townhouse and MOTD at Cupids. I am sure you will go from strength to strength and look forward to seeing your changes after all this madness ends." At the moment we're thinking the new area as more of a cinema and play space during the day, but would always welcome a daytime event if anyone fancies something! Ok, that's interesting.
As said before, I think opening in the daytime is an inspired idea and the changes to Saturdays could work out very well for the Midlands scene (provided that the club spaces don't simply become a holding pen for blokes!).

Could I also ask if this would also apply on very busy events such as FFFF? "Our intention is definitely not to create a holding pen! I think if you know the club well, you'll be aware of how important the balance of numbers is to us, and we really can't see that altering on a Saturday. Probably will go the other way as many "singles" are unable to get out. 
Idea behind FFFF has always been a big very social orientated night, so don't see that working too well, although we do get a lot of complaints on that night about single male behaviour, so maybe its a prime target. Discuss! lol. | |||

If you want couples for couples, you can attend on both nights,
if you want singles you can attend both nights,
if you're a single and want to meet couples, you can attend both nights,
if you're not sure about any of it, you can attend both nights and find out at your own pace. "Yes for us this perfect. Means we have something to do we know we comfortable with on both nights. But also if we ever feel we want to explore or experience something more the opportunity is there. I think it’s a great idea and will definitely add to the experience and value of the club. As for policing this I think most people that attend are respectful and can be trusted. There will inevitably be some that try it but I think members will police it and report to the staff. If it becomes a problem over time then look at measures to prevent it or instantly ban the offenders. | |||

"It’s great that, as a club, you are trying to reach out to a wide ranging clientele and meet the needs of as many as possible. The only word of caution I’d give is that by trying to please everyone you may end up pleasing fewer people. There’s a million and one cliches around being a jack of all trades king of none etc. From a purely business standpoint I’d just personally advise caution against trying to meet too many different needs and failing to meet any. For as many people who would be attracted by your ideas as many (or more) might be put off by them. Our own personal experience (ands it’s just that, not saying it’s everyone’s) is tgst the best clubs we have been to do what they specifically do (I.e couples only, theme nights etc) and do it well. As I said it not a criticism and it’s great that, as a club, you are trying to do things. But for us it’s a bit like a menu at a restaurant.... I don’t want 100 choices of average food, I’d rather have 6 choices of amazing food. " Great valid points. Most are genuinely single (in my experience/opinion) and I do think there is a very genuine market for a Saturday night event. However like all clubs it's success will likely depend mainly on how many women and couples use it (Flirts and the chill out lounge in this case). | |||

Totally agree, think it really shouldn’t be an issue. "As I've never actually managed to make it to your place yet I've no idea how it all worked before. However you were on the list for a visit with a lady friend of mine just prior to the current situation. So am very much looking forward to a visit a.s.a.p! As we’ve said before whilst these particular changes dont appeal to us they will appeal to many. Clubs are business and the people who attend them are filling their social time and spending their disposable income. " Dark room sounds amazing, L used to visit Xtasia under the old owners (yikes that is going back a long way!) and loved the dark room. Feels that the current dark area upstairs is a bit too small and gets really stuffy quickly. Also on Friday nights it is a loitering spot waiting for couples to venture in there and then pounce before they have chance to relax and get going.... more than one dark room eliminates or certainly reduces this and would be fantastic. We are yet to visit as a couple but once we are beyond this outbreak/lockdown we are hoping to very soon | |||

X" A cure can be today or tomorrow. There are people who are taking advantage of the time they "have to" be closed. Now is the time where a guy can leave his tools anywhere. You do not have to make it public safe each night. A great way of getting what you want doing... DONE. The things that Xtasia are doing would not get done in a couple of days so under normal circumstances parts of the club would have to be closed. So go for it and make something positive out of a bad situation. No one knows when this will be sorted. Make the best of a situation. Luckily there are enough people who understand that the club will open when the club is allowed to, be it be it in a week, a month, a year.... etc... Until the virus is under control there is no known time for this to continue so unsure why the poster knows when things will be open. Most people are looking to the future and making the return to normal BETTER then the normal. Let's look at the positive side of Corona... There are going to be some things come out of it better.
