Cam not working, I have flash and everything installed and updated, no blocks or anything yet no button now to start cam, just the text below in the box.

HTML5 cams (v002)

New: You can now view cams without Flash installed. Just tap/click the cam icon next to username. You still need Flash to broadcast your own cam.

There's no sound yet.

We're working next on touch and mobile friendly chat.

Hi , I also cannot use my cam despite having flash installed. Over the last week the HTML5cams text appears rather than flash player. Before flash player would launch after a few attempts , now its just the above Text box.I have tried deleting Temporary files etc also . Any advice ?

LoL, saying I should switch to chrome or Internet explorer is not an option, I hate them with a vengeance.

FireFox is the only browser I will use, cams worked fine in it before, I have changed nothing, if cams won't work in it now then admin broke something.

Admin, is there a reason I can't broadcast my webcam when using FireFox now?

Firefox updates are making it harder to enable flash. We've made no changes here.

Have you tried these tips here:

I had a spare 15 mins, so I've downloaded and installed FF and installed Flash and my cam is working fine!

If the advice on the link above, from Admin doesn't help, what OS (e.g. Win10 64-bit) and version of FF (e.g. 53.0 (64-bit) ) are you using?

Thanks Admin, still no joy though. I have flash and its updated and enabled. No idea what can be wrong, it works on other sites no problem and we can play flash games and flash bingo without no problem. Maybe something else. I will try on my wife's laptop later.

Win 10, ewww no chance!

Windows 7, FF 53.0 64bit, flash it up to date.

I work with computers for a living, repairing, installing them, coding and so on, it's normally me giving advice but this time I'm lost.

Ok, I found what was wrong

Normal Fab site starts with...

https:// (secure)

When going into chat it starts with...

http:// (unsecure)

I had only allowed flash for the secure version in my flash blocker

So was my fault although I would of though both chat and the main site would of started with https ?

All is good now

Hi , how do I check how my 'flash' is set and how do I get it into 'unblock' mode like you have done? Sorry but I am not good with computers but I really miss camming with you all x

Admin, it would seem that several people are now having trouble trying to cam when it was ok for years? Can you tell us what has changed and how we can get back to using our cams again?

Thanks .

I would try updating your flash first to see if it works, I doubt you would have it blocked, I have an add-on installed that was blocking mine.

Flash has been updated! what sort of Add in would block it?

It is an addon I have installed, works with FireFox only.

Check your firewall isn't blocking flash, I have had that in the past also.

How about if using Safari on a Macbook?! Doesn't seem to work! I am getting the same message as everyone else about viewing cams without flash, I have updated flash and can't see that it is disabled in a anyway but I'm a relative novice when it comes to a mac - any help appreciated!
