We know the reason given for reducing the room sizes to 175 was that some persons could not keep up with the chat but the restricted size reuduces the numbers in the room by 100 and that 100 would have made a differance tonight as it is near impossible to enter a directing room.

Coupled to that we personally find 175 in a room makes it very slow and boring. We have never had a problem keeping up with chat indeed over 200 in a room would not posea problem to us.

Is it possible to return the rooms to 200

Reality is that no matter what the size of the rooms (and we've only reduced by 20, to 180 now), they will fill up. You just need to enter the next available one.

If you want to enter a full one you can read-only (as a site supporter). This is a compromise.

This is your 20th thread on this subject; we're happy to listen but it's probably best to contact us privately next time.

The reason we kep raising this issue is that we can not see a reason for the reduction to 180 and the directing rooms are frequently all full....200 a room increases the possible numbers to 100....why not just try 200 again....if somepeople can't keep up with the chat why punish those of us who have no difficulty with 200 or even more.

You will see a big difference when the loophole to enter more than one room at a time is closed.

It's hard to explain this, but this change will make hardly any difference because the rooms will always fill up so the only room to enter will be the next one that's not yet full.

People think - "oh, if that room allowed another 20 people in, I could have gotten in". No, because statistically chances are others would have got there first! The best room to enter is always the next free one down the list with space

At the end of the day we needed to make a judgement. Lots of people complained to us about the the speed of the rooms. Now less people complain that the rooms aren't busy enough, in fact mainly one, to be honest

So on that basis we'd say the judgement, whilst not perfect (and we've been doing this long enough to realise we can't please everyone all the time), it's better than before.

We may be an exception to the rule, though we doubt it, but we never had diffuclty in a 200 room to keep up with persons we were chatting to and chat to friends on msm and skype at the same time.

We know that person not on cam got upset when we ignored them and probably thought we could not keep up with them rather than ignoring those who refuse to go on cam and just want to direct.

We only chat with friends and those on cam so around 140 are ignored by us.

Not everyone ignores the majority of users though and likes to speak to people who are not on cam aswell as those who are.
