Just a quick question but would it be possible to have a chat room which is for the bbw's and their admirers on this site. I feel it would give us bigger people more chance to get to know others in a more relaxed and informal way knowing that those in the room enjoy the company of a BBW person  |

While they could have put it across in a better way I'm inclined to agree.
Sexuality can't be helped the main three being straight, gay and bi.
BBW is a personal taste, if there were rooms for personal taste you could argue for hours which ones should be there BBW, BBC, Transgendered, foot fetish, S+M, Dommes and Subs.... And many, many more.

Why is it selfish ??
i have been in the swinging scene now for many years and to be honest and fair not everyone like to talk or asscociate with the bigger ladies and gents..........the prime example is in the chat rooms. I am a normal person liking the things that you all like, yet because some of us are larger than the average person we dont get spoken too. I can go in the chatroom and say hi all day but i still get ignored. So pray tell why is it selfish to have a room where the BBW's can go, chat and relax with other likeminded bbw's. There is nothing stopping anybody entering it, it isnt just exclusivly for them, but it is a place that they know they will be spoken to by peeps who genuiely want to speak to them, even with them being the larger size. |

And why shudnt they each have their own personal space's within a chatroom ??
Example............midsroom, east anglia, USA, Canada.........just a few to mention, they each have their own rooms, they may not use them and we are all free to visit what ever room you may like to visit, so again i cant see the problem in suggesting a BBW room |

I get ignored by people when they seem I'm trans/genderqueer. So should we have a chatroom for that?

Pretty soon well have so many sub sections of chat rooms there will only be a handful of people in each!!
On the few occasions I have been in chat I have never had an issue getting people to chat to me but then I muscle my way in to conversations lol if you just sit there and say hi you will get nowhere. Would you turn up to a pub and just sit and say hi hoping people will talk to you? |

I personally don't use the chat rooms after I was verbally abused on there so it did put me off.
Not sure if it would be a great idea us bigger ladies are people too would just be another way off of keeping us apart from everyone else. |

Some peeps find it easy to talk to others even if they dont know them but there are some who find it difficult. I for one will talk to anyone who will talk to me, however i am shy around peeps who i dont know. This suggestion wasnt and isnt intended to segregate anyone into anything, i for one may be a BBW but i am also a bisexual subby who is owned and also a babygirl aka 'little'. We all have our preferences, i for one have a few as listed, but that doesnt mean i dont want to chat to others who arent included in those preferences. I however would like to chat to genuine peeps who like the me are either BBW or are admirers of them. So no i dont see this post as being selfish or selective, it is just about finding somewhere that you can go into, relax and chat.................how many of you have sent various emails and recieved no response, to me that is just like entering a chat room, saying hi and getting ignored, doesnt matter what room , it happens. I would just like a room where i can feel comfortable in, thats all. |

I don't use chat so having separate rooms for different people makes no difference to me but surely it will be just as easy for people to ignore you in a specially designated BBW room as any other. |

I had a similar encounter, after saying cheer up chuck (or something along those lines) to a woman on cam who promptly smiled and responded in a world of my own lol.
I was attacked by a TV on a rant about she doesn't have to smile if she doesn't want to etc which started a bandwagon of people having a go.
Not a pleasant experience. |

i agree nicecouple, it doesnt matter where or wat room you are in, peeps will ignore you as they dont know you or dont feel like that you fit in with them.
But on the same note, why cant we have a place where we feel secure, because those in there want to be in there ? |

Have you considered that it probably wasn't your weight that decided whether people speak to you or not?
Maybe it's just me but I wear a size 20-22 clothes, I weigh like 17-18 stone and I don't have any problems finding people who wanna talk to me wherever I go online or IRL - maybe you've just been unlucky - or maybe you're dwelling in the negative experiences instead of pushing then aside and moving onto the positive ones.
And secondly why only BBW? What about the larger men? Don't they need some love too lol |

I have no issue with that if it's fair and everyone agrees. .
As I said earlier though we are marginalised due to our age but to some that is the very thing that attracts them |

I think it would narrow their horizons, mixing entirely with one type of person does that. I do understand what you're saying but you seem to imply that BBW should be a special case because they are treated differently elsewhere, is that your experience? |

A bbw doenst just reflect as being a woman, it can include men also, the purpose is for those that find it difficult to have somewhere that they can be them.
Hahahahaha, i have been in the scene to long to care about whether someone likes me or not, this is the scene that allowed me to love me for being me and i have made many friends on here as well as another site, so no i'm fine with me being a bigger person :D |

Nope not implying that at all nice. I have had some wonderful experiences from within the scene, but i have also seen others be ridiculed for the sheer fact of there size. I can stand up for myself and cudnt give 2 flying hoots what another person thinks.
This thread wasnt intended just for me, it was for everyone.

Just we don't see why BBWs require their own chat room whilst others don't?
As a BBW myself I understand the insecurity of not knowing if someone would find you attractive or not - but why let it grab hold of you so much that you'll only chat in a room of people that are the same?
Besides when you get specified chat rooms for preferences you often find conversations go stale because people are so desperate to talk about the rooms subject and not much else (personal experience from other forums and chat rooms) |

I very rarely use the chat rooms, and being a female on the larger size I can honestly say not once have I ever been ignored or ever been verbally abused. If anything Iv always found people very friendly in there. And have had a couple of meets through chatting in there. But back to the op question no I don't agree with a "bbw" room. Where to you stop with generalising rooms. Let's have one for bbc, vwe, TVs, smaller people etc. As someone said if we had individual chat rooms there would only be a hind full of people in each room. We all like certain types of people and it's down to us the individual to seek out those types ourselves, by looking and reading profiles. |

OK...........I see there are some peeps that think we should all stick to one room, i get the point but if that is the case then why do we have 1 general chat, 5 directing, numerous area's of the UK, then overseas and 1 bisexual chat rooms ?
If your going to argue the point then lets just have 3 rooms, where we all have to go into and get along with everybody, simples.

I think the chat rooms on here are a bit clicky and we have had the same problems as you, you go in say hello, and don't get much response back. I think unless you go in there on a regular basis its hard to get on in them.
With a small number of rooms the chat goes so fast you can't follow it, but I think that mainly people prioritise location over most other things. So I would see that more geographical rooms would be better than more "preference rooms". For example if you had a BBW room and a BBW in Aberdeen and a man who was interested in BBW (and their was mutual attraction) who lived in Devon, are they ever really going to meet? BBW isn't are particularly small demographic and you find them all over the country.
Also if you are just looking for a room you can feel comfortable in, but with people you are not actually going to play with, a geographical room would work just as well as a preference room.
Personally I would like the Midlands room chopped into a couple of rooms because it is just massive. |

When I joined Fab, there were just 2 rooms - Directing Room and General Chat. However, there is a realistic maximum of 175 people in a room - otherwise, the screen scrolls too quickly and there is no 'thread' to the conversation. As more people started chatting, more rooms were added, to ensure that everyone could chat. Hence there are now 5 directing rooms and about 10 regional rooms.
Admin do listen to members' views about what rooms are needed. For example, members asked for a Verified Only room and a Site Supporters Room, so these rooms were created. However, there are rarely any more than a handful of people in either of these rooms, since the regional split appears more popular. |

Some groups are more likely to be shy or receive abuse. Some people cope with it better than others, and as an admirer of curvy ladies I know how important confidence is to their enjoyment. What a refreshing idea.
In terms of size, I'm classed as a BBW and recently been 'attacked' by keyboard/chatroom warriors...not just on this site I may add, I've been called fat, ugly, mrs blobby, mrs michelin, stuck up, bitch, fat slag etc etc the list goes on and on and on.
I must say I have also seen other users step in a defend such bullying.

I started this thread as an opinion, one that i thought needed to be aired. We are all entitled to our opinions - this is a forum after all, but politness costs nothing and will usually get you far.
As others have said it isnt just BBW that needs addressing, our community is vast with a very wide variety, so why shouldnt we all have a place where we can go to. I understand the concept of throwing everybody in one pool, but I still firmly believe that by opening up some of the rooms to individual tastes will not bring this site to a grinding halt

I started this thread as an opinion, one that i thought needed to be aired. We are all entitled to our opinions - this is a forum after all, but politness costs nothing and will usually get you far.
As others have said it isnt just BBW that needs addressing, our community is vast with a very wide variety, so why shouldnt we all have a place where we can go to. I understand the concept of throwing everybody in one pool, but I still firmly believe that by opening up some of the rooms to individual tastes will not bring this site to a grinding halt

i have been in the swinging scene now for many years and to be honest and fair not everyone like to talk or asscociate with the bigger ladies and gents..........the prime example is in the chat rooms. I am a normal person liking the things that you all like, yet because some of us are larger than the average person we dont get spoken too. I can go in the chatroom and say hi all day but i still get ignored. So pray tell why is it selfish to have a room where the BBW's can go, chat and relax with other likeminded bbw's. There is nothing stopping anybody entering it, it isnt just exclusivly for them, but it is a place that they know they will be spoken to by peeps who genuiely want to speak to them, even with them being the larger size."

Other swinging sites have the option to open your own room and the BBW room has always been one of the busiest most popular rooms I've seen... Lots of socials arranged through that room too
Better selection of rooms would cater for all tastes... What's wrong with that!!?! |
