When logging into cam chat do the cam size actually do anything?

It says Large Medium and Small yet no matter which I select from Laptop or desktop PC it all appears the same.

I think it does matter if your using other devices other then pc/laptop..its the video quality I think..

When going into chat on my PC, if I choose small then the bottom 5th of the screen is reserved for cams and if I choose large, it's about the bottom 3rd.
