To the non-flash cams testers
We've done an update which might mean the cams look a little smoother.
Would welcome new feedback
If you're in chat you'll need to quite and go in again.
There is a version number at top of roomlist. It should read v001.

Before everyone says "there's no sound" - there is no sound
We're looking at ways to make noise but it's a little way off at the moment.
Thanks for the feedback so far. Please keep it coming

Not sure if it's because I have the original iPad 1 bit the images were clear but a wee bit juddery, ie. stop and start. Tried on iPhone 4 and that was better. |

No sound
Camera a little bit slow
Good picture "
just tested on Oprah Classic on the down and dirty setting for when your signal is crap whilst sitting in a field and it still works |

Actually, the 'normal' chatrooms seem very laggy tonight - so not sure if my test tonight means much. |

Biggest problem I'm having on the tablet (7in screen), the same as in the Flash based chat, is the windows dynamically resizing themselves. And my on-screen keyboard popping up over most of the screen! But all in all, if you need to use a small device, which doesn't support Flash, I think this is working pretty well! Is the long-term intention to completely replace the Flash based chat with this? Would it currently work on the PC if I uninstalled Flash? |

We'll continue to support flash, software will fall back to this mechanism if not available.
Once this is finalised and settled and available to all users, we'll work on next things (no timescale):
* touch/mobile friendly interface to chat
* broadcasting cam where browser supports
This is an inbetweeny really.

I logged on with both my iPad and iPhone and was very impressed with how smooth the cams were and able to dock them.
The only draw back not sure with other iPad iPhone users when enlarging a cam I couldn't make a comment on the chat |

"Quite impressed as logged in on my samsung galaxy note 3, cams seem to be quite smooth and could dock as well "
Were you able to go on using your own cam on samsung note 3? |

Works well on my galaxy s3. Once I have opened a room I cannot fit the window fully as it keep closing the room down and moving the cam up into the room window.
Well done so far |

Works well Quick navigation between rooms, but awkward to view a cam and still see what you're typing at the same time. But a good way forward to having cam on a phone |

Just tested on my kindle fire hd and it works brilliantly! Thank you so much. Can't wait to be able to broadcast from the kindle instead of the laptop, opens up all sorts of possibilities!! Thank you |

No sound, Cams were jerky but at least we can see pics again, unable to type or change font. This is on a jailbroken Ipad 1.
Great work so far. Keep up the good work. |

It's a great start and a very welcome change. We can't wait for the final version, we got problems as the feed was flashing between two separate cams very rapidly, unwatchable but I'm sure this will be sorted in final version. Please keep up the great work. Cheers |

Just tried the HTML cam on my iPad. Smoother than I expected. Much better than puffin browser. Sound would be good but this is a great step forward. Great job Fabbers

Cam was clear and smooth on iPad 3 however when chatting or pm chat the windows disappeared.
Also found when scrolling though the room list it keeps scrolling back to the top without warning.
Very impressed with the quality of the cam and look forward to using it. |

I entered via mobile version but when clicking on profile name was taken to Desktop site where I had to log in again.
When going to the Chat room wasn't given option to select cam size, and the size seemed to be large, small might be better to leave more real estate for chats.
Font size in Chat could be reduced.
Option to resize cam windows and move them round by gesture would be great
Otherwise it's great with smooth videos.

Working fairly well on iPhone but when I sort the members in a room eg by "cam on" and then go and look at a profile, when I return to the room window, the sorting preference has been lost.
Keep up the good work!

Android 4.2.2 maxtouuch tablet. Runs quickly. Entering chat was as quick as normal PC. Only one tiny problem trying to select small icons such as cam or window resize is tricky. Cams work very well. Chat works well in realtime. Faultless. Well done |

I find the cameras work really well on my kindle fire hd. The only problem I have is with pm`s in chat, I am unable to move the window either with my finger or pen as I'm purely touchscreen which means I can't see who is coming into chat or the chat. The other problem is a lot of black space and the general placement/sizing of the chat room. If I'm simply watching a cam and not talking, it's brilliant but needs to be addressed before we're able to go on cam on kindle. Not tried watching multiple cams as yet. |
