Have you worked your way through the FAQs on this site? i.e. update Flash, try a different browser, etc?

I have the same problem and tried all of the above to fix the problem still no joy
It was ok with the old cam room and some other sites just had problems since the new cam rooms were introduced |

yes, its even worse...cant get anything.
the weird thing is , it worked wed. morning no problem...first time using cam....then tried wed. night..nothing....that was using regular internet explorer....so then I tried firefox =nothing....then crome..got to the last prompt before cam goes on but no video...im stumped...like I said, ive used it on other chat sites no problem...gotta be something with this site... |

I'm thinking it's probably Flash that's causing the issue then. I know you've said it's been updated, but I would uninstall it completely, and download again from the Adobe site.
I have heard of instances, where there have been corrupt installations. |

If you're constantly testing your cam on other sites, this could be the problem ..... some sites don't 'release' your cam when you exit their site. Reboot, and come straight to Fab chat, WITHOUT trying your cam anywhere else first.
If this doesn't work, some people have found that plugging in a microphone helps - I don't know why it should, but it does!
There is also something called 'port 1635', which once caused my cam to stop working. There are online tools which you can use to check and correct port 1635 errors (I got a tekkie to help me with this).

I was having similar problems...updated Adobe...tried Firefox, Google Chrome, IE but nothing would get my camera to work despite it working on all other sites. Didn't have a microphone available but tried a set of headphones in the audio jack and it works!! Weird but it just does. Thanks for the trick. |
